+internet points if you get that, which I hope everyone does.

But on a more 'serious' note, I've lost pretty much the want to play games. Played MMORPG for 3-4 years, now tired of it finally. Don't play 360 like I used to. Wii is gone back. It's weird that it's happened, but with me getting back into a much more active life style, eating healthier, and other things to drop weight, it's like my gaming urge just died.

I'm not complaining by any means. Playing City of Heroes daily for hours on end was worst thing I did but I didn't see it at the time. Started playing GTA IV, loving it, but after 2 days, I've yet to touch it or the xbox itself. It's not a bad game by any means.

So..yeah. Weird stuff, but not complaining. I needed this, and it kind of happened involuntarily. At least it'll help me keep on track to dropping weight (down almost 30 lbs overall since my highest point), and now that I am talking to 'someone' more often, it's good :p

1) I don't get it.

2) Good. I enjoy gaming much more the further I pull myself away from it. I think you will too. I didn't even know GTA IV was out until I saw a million people on Live playing it. It's so much nicer not following gaming and when I have time to play, I play for entertainment, not to finish the game so I can grab the next AAA title shipping in a week. Not to mention I've saved a ton of money.

Could have something to do with being older too. Outgrowing video games... its a strange sensation, isn't it?

It's sorta strange, but in a way, I'm glad it's wearing off. I have problems to keep correcting with my life

Hahah, weird. I must be crazy. When I started working in gametesting I started enjoying games MORE because I realized the amount of work that went into them. Of course life is happening and I'm getting less time to playing them, as always, but I'm enjoying them even more nowadays.

I started to have that a few years ago. Maybe World of Warcraft killed my fun in gaming.

Now it's slowly starting to come back. I'm playing Half-Life 2 and TF2 and I'm going through SMG a 2nd time. Oh, and some old Cube games. But I'm usually too lazy for that, so I'd rather go watch something on TV.

The same thing happened to me a couple years back. I played WoW way too much and I lost all ambition to play any games. I was worried that I had "out grown" video games (if such a thing could happen..). But after a while I slowly got back into it. Although my drive to play is not as strong as it was way back when, I now find it more satisfying when I accomplish something in a game.

So right now, I'm trying to moderate the amount of video games I play lest I get burned out on them again and perhaps not recover from it.

Wait, I've figured why I'm going so strong, then. I never play MMOs. Except Phantasy Star Online and Universe, but those aren't even MMO's. Sure I dicked around with WoW for a week, but I hated it.

MMOs have this almost endless replayability, and since you're playing with other people and not by yourself it kinda enchances that. When I have friends over I can whip out almost anything and have fun with them, but when I'm alone playing something, after 30 minutes its just like.. meh.

I'm not as hardcore as I once was either, kinda like gekko. I didn't even know or care that GTA4 came out when it did. But I did end up getting it for Ps3 and love it.. Only thing I've really been following though, is MGS4, since its a continuation of my favorite solo game.

Well, if anything, I certainly didn't play them like people play MMOs.

I maybe play half an hour's worth of gaming every 2 weeks. That's how jaded I am. I can't afford a PS3 or 360 and I don't want either of those in my life right now. I played bf1942 for the first time in a year just a couple days ago and it was fun. I'm hoping to play Twilight Princess and Mario Galaxy this summer. I have a feeling battlefield heroes is going to turn me a gamer again.
