From the company that bought you

Crisis on Infinite Earth
Identity Crisis
Infinite Crisis

And more crisises than you can shake a stick at comes.

Final Crisis. Personally, I am really excited for this. As long and as drawn out as this may be. (Started way back in 04) it has been a fun read with a few minor hiccups. Looking at you Countdown.

And it all begins today with a 50 cent (yes 50) comic called DC Universe 0

You can read this issue with Countdown. The series hasn't started yet so don't know if you can read Final Crisis.

As for why Superman is wearing a flight ring, someone hasn't been reading their Superman comics recently. ;)

I've been playing around with DC a little lately (Marvel is a primary universe of choice) but I find the concept of trying to absorb the nuances of a completely different mythos daunting to say the least. Its tough enough trying to keep up with Marvel (mainly through Wikipedia) and my Indy comics.

The Superman title's main storyline has Superman facing off against a time traveling magician named Arion, who says that Superman is delaying an eventual catastrophe and that he is preventing humans from acting to protect themselves. Arion tells Superman to stop his daily activities of saving people or else Arion will stop him.

From Wiki.

I haven't read.
But apparently the last few months Superman has been in the future with the Legion.

I know probably only one reading this along with Danny.

But Final Crisis: Requiem just came out today. And a hell of an issue. You don't even have to follow Final Crisis to understand it. Though it gives away a scene in Final Crisis 1, which you could guess from the end of this comic.

Anyhow, it is like Civil War: Confession. In that it is more story driven then action driven and don't want to give away too much, but I recommend a read.

Why are there guys on there that look exactly like Marvel characters. I see a dude who looks exactly like Dr. Doom, one who looks exactly like Wolverine and one that looks exactly like The Thing.

Haha, upon closer inspection the Dr. doom guy is the Green Arrow. Oopsie.

OKay, I think the Dr. Doom is closer to the Spectre, but eh.

I know who referring to for the Thing but no idea who he is.

But can you point out which one is Wolverine?

I figured there is already a thread in the comics forum, but going to re-read this in Morrison's order to see if it makes more sense in the gran scheme of things.

So here comes issue 1....

Okay technically Bruce Wayne is "dead" so that image still works. The persona will live on though.

And the vampire came from Superman Beyond, its the ultimate evil, but it gets worse he only exists because people believe he exists if you don't believe he exists, he vanishes.... or what I gathered.
