I figured this isn't a big enough show to get a weekly thread, but hell one thread of the appreciation of this Legend....

Wait for it....

Dary show.

Anyhow, on last episode it looked like Robin and Barney were about to hook up?

How will it go? Will Barney be in a committed relationship? What will Ted have to say about it?

And Barney discusses the Bro Code.

It will be interesting to see if Barney and Robin share what happened to Ted, Lilly, and Marshall.

I recommend it.
And I know Bond would second that.
I think it's a really funny show.

Trying to find you the first episode online. Well so I could legally post it.
Shall update if anything,.

What is it comparable to?
And who is the regular cast? (If well-known)

Bond
04-28-2008, 07:35 PM
I'm not really sure what it is comparable to, I guess it's like Friends but better.

You've probably heard of Alyson Hannigan and Neil Patrick Harris (who was in the picture I posted).

But yeah, the show is real good. Hasn't garnered much media attention, but it has quite a loyal following.

NPH is a constant character?
I thought that picture might have just been from a guest-spot.
I'm so down.
Forever.

I don't really know what it is comparable.
I would say Friends but I think that gives the wrong idea.

It is about a bunch of 20 something year old people living in the city. But the story is told from the main character in the future (who is Bob Saget) looking back on his days courting his wife or eventually.

The main people you would know are Alysson H (Don't know how to spell it but Jim's girlfriend from American Pie and eventual wife), Jason Segal (of Forgetting Sarah Marshall) and of coure Neil Patrick Harris (yes Doogie Howser as a womanizer).

It said it was on at 8:30 pst/est, so if it was on already (for me) I must have read the times wrong.

I've only seen like 5 episodes of How I Met Your Mother, but I enjoyed them all immensely. It's on my summer list of TV shows to watch when I have a few months of downtime.

A few of my friends at school watch this, but since I sometimes get too caught up in tv shows, I never wanted to watch it (just like Lost, which I finally gave in, and still lose sleep over). But I accidentally came across an episode on tv and really loved it. So I guess I'll start watching it.

But I still haven't finished watching The Adventures of Pete and Pete :)

I also really liked Pushing Daisies, something else I never wanted to start.

Yes. That was actually only a few episodes ago, and was one of the best of the season.

Yeah and I believe Britney is due to make another appearance soon.

I will.
Honestly, NPH was the selling point for me.
He pulls of that style of womanizing acting so hilariously (which is why I love the Harold and Kumar movies so much).

As A medical Doctor, he might have been sub-par, but as a womanizing paranoid awkward stain on society, he is gold.

I'm reminding myself to watch this every week now.

Sweet, we got another.
What's really funny is he is gay in real life, it kind of shocked my friend when he found out last week.

Also, this goes to anyone I guess.
If you got a TV show want to talk about/watch just post a thread sure someone will duck their heads in.

That's why the womanizing role is so hilarious for him.
Not only does he play it hilariously, but he's actually gay.
So to see him as a cocky, arrogant womanizing prick, as he lately plays in everything he's done, is so perfect.

Season finale time tonight.

Ted is in a car accident that prompts Marshall to talk about miracles. Everyone flashbacks to prior moments in their lives.

Has Mr. Typhoid seen any of the older seasons yet?

And a hell of a cliffhanger.

But it sucks when you know how it ends.

Without giving away too much from the cliffhanger.

The premise of the show and the hints that lead to it.

Most people seem to love the show after they've watched a few episodes.

Trouble is just getting people to sit down and watch it or to find the show all together. It really is a hidden gem.

I actually did enjoy House.
Watched the first two seasons which I bought on DVD.
And trying to find a deal for season 3, I just don't think its worth the 50 bucks.

OMG!
Barney is going to release the Bro Code in Nov! Score. :D

Not sure how to increase your general awesomeness? Wonder no longer.

“The Bro Code,” a book of advice by Barney Stinson of “How I Met Your Mother,” will be on bookshelves in late November.

“The Bro Code” was featured in a Season 3 episode of the CBS show titled “The Goat.” It was a list compiled by Barney (Neil Patrick Harris) of all the things a true male friend – a bro – should or should never do to his pals (see below right for a "Bro Code" excerpt from "The Goat"). Fans of the show will recall that Barney himself violated one of the most sacred tenets of the Bro Code, leading to a serious falling-out between him and his best bro Ted. [Note: I had to correct the previous sentence -- sorry for the error, that's what I get for writing these things at 1 a.m.] (Above left, Neil Patrick Harris as Barney in a flashback from "The Goat.")
