I hate them too, we have to take two to four every year because our district believes the more tests you take, the better you'll do on SATs later, which makes sense I guess. It still sucks. We use ITBS, CAT, NWEA, and SEPAT. The last three don't take too long though, maybe one or two hours stretched through the week. I may be forgetting one and two of those are the same test, I can't remember, I only had to take two this year.

Actually... I kind of like testing. You don't have hw or other assignments due, you just have to put down what you know. Also, I think we get out of school early during testing.:)

That's partly why I like these tests. I'm not that smart, but I sure do know how to take a test.:D

They are these tests where everyone gets asked the same questions.. it usually tests on all of your abilities.. and you have to use pencil and fill in the little bubbles.

There Angrist.

There Angrist. Thanks. And what's the purpose, is it for school? How often do you have those?? When?

Its to evaluate how much you know (or at least it helps somewhat).

Depends on what school you go to that chooses how often you get them. At my school, you have one in 10th grade, and if you decide to take the PSATs or SATs, you take them in 10th, 11th, or 12th grade..

I'm going to take my PSAT's next year when I'm in 10th grade, take my SAT's when I'm in 11th grade, and take the SAT's again when I'm in 12th grade -- I can choose the better score to send to a college.

I took the writing SAT2. There is only one college I'm applying to that requires them, and that one only requires the writing. It was pretty easy. 20 minutes for a prompted essay and 40 for the bubbles.
The Biology one is suppoesed to be pretty decent, but the History one is INCREDIBLY hard. The math are pretty decent too.

Actually, no you can't. The college board automatically sends ALL scores to the colleges regardless of how you did. they see all scores except SAT2 teken before June. After that they see all SAT and SAT2 scores. Most colleges will only look at the better scores, but many take all into account.

Yeah.. that's what I meant.. the better score will be judged by the college :D

Kitana85

Not always though. Some schools look at all the scores.
