My "recruiter" BreakABone tells me that there are at least a couple wrestling fans that reside here. I just figured it would be nice to have a place where the few of us could come to talk about what's going on in the world of WWE and even TNA. For now I don't have much news to talk about but I'm really excited to see Raw tonight, supposedly there will be some type of Ric Flair tribute! Woooo!

I hope this continues.
I miss the good ole days of GT's wrassling threads.
Anyhow, I thought Wrestlemania was a really solid match.
MiTB was an awesome match with some highly creative spots.
HBK/Flair was a good match and rather emotional.
The Triple Threat match was good.
Taker/Edge was surprising. Mostly because didn't expect Edge to dominate so much.

I literally fucking cried during Wrestlemania last night at the end of Ric Flair's retirement match. Its the end of a era.
I don't really follow wrestling, but Nature Boy is retiring? Who's going to be the third Nature Boy?

I just watched that again today along with the MitB match (DVRed the PPV :D)and they both were just amazing matches. Flair/HBK was a very good and emotional match.

I haven't watched any wrestling since high school when I was pretty into it (never missed a Raw much less a Smackdown and Sunday Night Heat), but what the Hell is Floyd Mayweather doing? Is his storyline even interesting, and how did it start?
I'm sorry, but after D-Generation X everything went to hell. Come on now.

Was it good?

I still enjoy watching wrestling when I have the time, but those times are fewer and fewer over the past few years. I catch Raw about once or twice a month and I usually only buy the Royal Rumble (always fun and surprising) and Wrestlemania (out of tradition and appreciation for the production values).
Wrestling has been so safe lately without direct competetition from a rival Federation, and it just doesn;t have that sense of immediacy or drama it used to. I still enjoy it, but its not must see TV for me anymore.

I used to watch wrestling growing up because it was pretty entertaining, not to mention there was a lot to pick from out there. But now that it's a relatively complete monopoly, I am not a fan. Not to mention I grew up a few years ago, but still. When you have no competition, you have no reason to push boundaries on any level.

I can remember watching WCW when Goldberg beat Hulk Hogan. Man that was a long time ago.

Oh, I will say however, that oldschool wrestling games for the N64 (WCW vs NWO Revenge) is possibly the best wrestling game ever created. Me and Dylflon had countless hours of enjoyment editing the characters around and doing a 40 man battle royale.
