On which console will GTA IV sell more units?

Alright, this is a prediction poll. The question is: on which console will GTA IV sell more units in the month of April?

The comparison:

Playstation 3
- has a long history with the GTA franchise being exclusive
- larger install base of GTA players

Xbox 360
- larger console install base
- exclusive downloadable content

360, mainly because of the DLC and as of right now, has a larger amount of people who own it vs the PS3.

Since well over half of all 360 owners bought Halo 3, GTA should be able to push those numbers also with ease.

I'd like to see it sell more on the PS3 but it will obviously sell more on the 360.

I think its basic math here. Hell if mothers will buy there 12 year old kids CoD4 i think they will dish out the cash if the kids make a big enough fuss.

well i woiuld have to agree. since more xboxs have sold than ps3s that means more gta games will be sold on xbox. but maybe ps3 will catch up in a few yrs :D

Maybe this isn't such a big question as I thought it was.

I also see GTA IV selling more on the 360, but I think it's going to be a lot closer than most people think. It will certainly be interesting though, if GTA IV does indeed end up selling more on the 360, what that will mean for Sony and the image they have as being the "GTA console."

Something I heard yesterday and I agree with is that GTA4 will most likely sell more on the 360 because of the install base, but in terms of selling consoles, it will sell more PS3's because of the PS2 fanbase for the GTA series.

Actually, I think this is where I draw the line and I guess we can try and steer the conversation in that direction.

I foresee the 360 version outselling the PS3, but I don't see the margin being 2:1. I honestly see it being relatively close in terms of userbase. I don't know.

Does everyone who feels the 360 version will outsell the Ps3 version expect a blowout or a relatively close gap (Let's say close refers to about 500k or so)

It might sway differently if like, MGS4 came out before June 12th. However, that's only a month after launch and I'd be willing to bet that a LOT of people will pick up the MGS4 PS3 bundle with GTA4.

I'm sure it will push quite some PS3s, but then again, PS fans have never been the most loyal. If you get more content for a console that is cheaper and has a lot more good games, why hesitate?

I'll go the other way and say that GTA will sell more on ps3, because errrrrrrr.......emmmmmmmmmm...........well, because I said so plus I associate GTA with the PS so hence and therefore everyone should think like me ( except the people in this forum, what's wrong with you guys anyways) and go buy a PS3 for GTA because of the association. :)

I predict it will sell more on 360, though I also predict it will sell less overall combined in the first two months than GTA:VC sold in the first two weeks.
