For those of you that don't know, a Texas DA is under indictment for spending public funds to build himself a "back-up server" that had 7 fans, glow in the dark tubes and high end video and audio cards. Peeny Arcade nailed it on the head pointing out the absurdity of this case. Made me laugh for a while.

I think the reality that this actually happened is absurd, and Penny Arcade's description of the legal conversations taking place must be HILARIOUS because of it.

"Why did you need a nVidia 9600gt in SLI?"

Tycho's comment that, "It's a crime, yeah, but it's an awesome crime. I make an exception for awesome crimes," is right on. I can't help but want to forgive this guy for wanting that pimped out rig.
