Wow, 'No Country For Old Men' really beat the stuffing out of 'There Will Be Blood'.

Hope there aren't any 'There Will Be Blood' fanboys here.

And the good ol' boys at SNL have done it again, by George!

The Bourne Ultimatum got 3 Oscars? Pretty good for an action movie.

Oh and it looks like Lord of the Rings finally changed the opinion on fantasy movies. The Golden Compass got an Oscar! (Not that I've seen it, but before LotR, fantasy movies never won.)

I don't think the influence of Lord of the Rings had any say in academy members voting a fantasy movie to win best visual effects, but I could be wrong.

No Country deserved a lot of praise...it is a great movie, and if you folks love cinema, you need to see it.

I don't mean a direct influence, but certainly an indirect one. They're not afraid of giving an Oscar to a fantasy movie.

But maybe it works the other way round. Fantasy movies are more accepted (?), so they can attract bigger stars, like Nicole Kidman. Now I'm sure that some other big names had appeared in fantasy movies before LotR, but I do see a trend here.

I was surprised Across the Universe nor 3:10 to Yuma won anything. And Sweeney Todd for Art Direction, really?

Across the Universe was not good. 3:10 to Yuma was decent, but not amazing.

Agreed about Universe. Pretty lame I thought, but still enjoyable.

Still need to see 3:10.

Damn it! GM, that clip of Jon Stewart has been Oscared, and I missed it on Sunday. Found it anywhere else?

Oh YouTube, when you will accept that your fight against piracy is futile? We will freely distribute TV, music, games, and movies forever.

Tell me this works.

The Wii segment is about 5/6 of the way in.
