I thought this up during my boring day of work.
A thread to get to know your fellow boardmembers how you want to.
Not sarcastically, and not tongue-in-cheek-ily, but seriously.
If you have a serious question about the personality, personal life or the "why's" of another member, ask it here, and maybe we can all get to know one another a little bit better than we do?
Also, I would like to make note of the new avatar I thought up today. Purely no-doubt unoriginal.

I will start. I would like to know more about the ever elusive Gamemaster, or GM as we like to call him. He's very secrative, I want solid information, such as age, hometown, occupation, ect.
I believe he has said something about a movie theatre.
And aside from that I've gotten nothing. Me and Foxxy used to double team him on MSN and got nothing but riddles from him

I've been here long enough for people to have gathered info on me, but I'll play since no one else is.
Real name Earl
Recently graduated from Alfred University with a BA in Psych.
I have a love of most things Batman and Mario if my icon didn't give it away.
Like movies for the most part, using the writer's strike period to catch up on new shows.
I once wrote a mario fanfic on these forums. I have however recently completed my first original work of fiction for National Writing Month. I wrote a 200 page novel in a month. Need to get back to editting it.
Currently gainfully unemployed and looking deseprately for work.
Anything else?

Like BaB I've been here and said a few things along the way to glean information on me. I have a history of posts that when I Google and bring old ones to my face, I realize how dumb they sound and (for a few) how drunk I must have been.
Real name David.
Graduated last May from Tulane University in New Orleans with a BSE in Electrical Engineering.
I was born and lived until I started university in Houston, TX.
After graduating, I moved back to my parents' home, where I currently live, while I pay off student debts.
I plan to move out in August with my girlfriend to wherever she goes to grad school, hopefully either Colorado or California.
It took a year or two for New Orleans to grow on me, but now I love it so much that I miss it every day. I visit my girlfriend there (also at Tulane until May this year) every couple weekends, which makes me very very happy.
The best thing I've ever done for myself in my life: starting September of 2004, I spent a year living abroad in Malta on a student exchange program. Every day I spend missing New Orleans I also spend dreaming about when I can go travel the world again.
Biggest bitch in my life: Katrina.

I'm Sean.
I'm 21 in April.
I moved out when I was 19.
I'm apprenticing sheet metal fabrication, and obviously work full time doing it.
I've done a lot of hard drugs in the past (probably in my more sporadic, un-sensical posting days) but I haven't done any in probably about a year.
I'm technically engaged.
I'm about 6'2'', but more on the 6'1'' side of things.
I'm a whopping 180 - formerly (in highschool) 220lbs.
I've been in a number of bands, and played a number of shows.
I was born in New Westminster, and have lived in Port Coquitlam since I was 5.
I've got two cats: A 3 year old fatass named CJ, and a devil-spawn kitten named Lillian.
I've played Soccer my whole life, and I'm pretty darn decent at it, as goes for Hockey.
I want to know what kind of person Bond is irl.
That's a difficult thing to describe... well, you probably wouldn't hear me talking about videogames very much. Really none of my friends play them, which is why I come here to talk about games. :)
I went to a private Catholic high school and currently go to the University of Wisconsin. I'm probably going to double major in business and something else and then go onto graduate school for a degree in Hospital Administration. I'd like to run a large hospital in a city when I get older.
I'm obviously a huge Packers and Brewers fan. I used to like the Yankees actually, but I adopted the Brewers since I moved here. I've lived in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and currently Wisconsin.
I'd like to know why Typhoid decided to go into sheet metal fabrication.

I've been curious about how you started your comic, who the characters represent, who writes and draws it with you, and which one of you gets the writing/drawing credits. (I think it's great.)
My girlfriend (Elaine) and myself met at Simon Fraser University in a poetry class and started dating about a month after we met. The university runs a student newspaper called the Peak and whenever we read their humour section we were disappointed by how crappy it was. We both agreed that we could make better comics than they could and so we started making our own comics. We ran them in the Peak for one semester but stopped when the humour editor changed. We hate the new humour editor so much that we don't submit our comics to the paper. I'm currently waiting for him to graduate so I can start running it there again.
The characters represent myself and Elaine. Of course they aren't really a lot like us (except in some of our comics inspired by actual conversations we've had) but they embody the sillier elements of our personality. The characters (us) are mainly there for identifiability but also sort of as a self-reflexive element to the comic since they aren't characters we made up. They're just vessels for the silly things we think up.
I write the comic and Elaine draws. We dabble in eachother's processes sometimes. Elaine has directly inspired a few of the comics as well as come up with the general ideas for a number of them. I sometimes draw small things within the comics that she is having trouble with including some objects but mostly expressions.
We've only ever had two guest writers. One of them being our very own Fox6 (Cam) who has entirely written a few comics and also wrote a few with me. And we have one comic that was written by Raphael Bob-Wakesburg of the Olde English sketch comedy troup.
And for BreakABone:
I'm 21 one in a month.
Been dating my girlfriend for 2 and 1/3 years.
In my third year of university studying film.
Currently in the editing process of a short film we shot last semester.
I work in a video store.
Uh...that's about everything that doesn't involve me delving deeper into my life. If anyone has specific questions, I can talk more later.

-I'm Nathan! I turned 22 a week ago!
-I'm 6'0" and 145lbs!
-I was a teacher's favorite at my magnet elementary school before I freaked out and turned to homeschooling in the 6th grade, which I got bored of upon completing the 8th!
-I have no plans to go back to school outside of maybe getting my GED, if only to stop people from talking to me in a condescendingly slow, hyper-enunciated form of English.
-I work at a local sandwich shop, but I don't make the sandwiches! I have to turn my brain off in order to deal with the steady stream of customers throughout the lunch rush!
-I'm frequently described as either eccentric or an asshole!
-I used to have hair that was longer than most you'd find on females!
-I tend to leave social gatherings without saying goodbye for the sake of not causing a bunch of people to stare at me and feel obligated to wave!
-I have 0 confidence in myself and in others!
-My boss tells me that I'm the only person he's ever met who's turned down free money! Taking it makes me feel guilty (what did I do to deserve it?) and money, outside of "enough to get by", is for people who believe in success as defined in society and that they have a future!
-I don't really care about the starving children in Africa, or most other people or important events! Sometimes I question whether or not I can form a meaningful relationship with anybody!
-I have a number of acquaintances who are into philosophy, which I see as the art of making a mountain out of a mole hill, and even more pointless than most things that the hip kids are studying in college these days.
-I don't see a point to life, but it doesn't get me down and I don't just mope about! I'm more into zoning out, staring off into space, and not remembering events from the previous day!
-I fail to comprehend most social situations, and do not understand how to, nor see the appeal in, making small talk!!
-Some people think I sound scary on paper, and others have taken to simply referring to me as "Creepy", but I'm frequently complimented on my sense of humor, my photography, and my devilishly good looks, and can guarantee 100% that I'm less harmful than your average Joe Six-Pack!
And there you have it.

-My name is Dylan
-Currently 18
-Work a crappy minumum wage job in the back warehouse of a Sears
-Currently working on getting 2 bands together
-No idea what I want to do with my life, don't really care either (Any suggestions :p )
-Uh....don't really know what else to say honestly.

I saw my name in here somewhere, so...
In the real world I'm known as Scott. I've lived in Ontario all my life, currently working in Ottawa where it's cold and I shovel snow frequently. I studied both traditional and digital animation in college for 3 years, I now work at a studio in town, helping to produce awesome cartoon shows like Carl Squared, Jacob Two Two, 6teen, Fairly Odd Parents... and a bunch of other crap you probably never heard of if you live in the States and don't have Teletoon!
When I'm not working, I play video games! They are funs.
I request information on, I guess the new class of GTers. Granted not new, but weren't around in the ancient days....
include Dyne, Dlyfon, Typhoid, Fox 6 and... whoever else thinks they fall in that gap.
Well, I was here for a while before the rest. I was invited by Nemesis, but he's not around anymore. I had a forum of my own for a year, but the guy who payed for it decided to be a major asshole and cut it off out of the blue with no chance for me to renew anything. Most of the crew was there, except Fox 6 I think. After a long while, and after I started posting, I invited Dylflon here, and then most of the others followed.
As for general info, I'm Phil, 21, currently 220 and 5'11". Fourth year of university, but I need to take a fifth because the planning is horrible here. I need to take two more courses that happen only, surprise, next fall, and next spring. It really blows.
I got my ticket into the game industry through my girlfriend's old crush, who we waited in line for a Wii with. I got a job as Development Support at Propaganda Games, where I worked on Turok for 9 months. However, I'm stuck in the middle of finishing school at the same time so it's going to be a bit of a manuever getting my industry experience working on further Propaganda projects and finishing my degree at the same time. We'll see how it goes! I did work part-time on the last 3 months of Turok at Propaganda Games while still holding a full courseload at school, which a lot of people would find amazing and possibly mesmerizing, if not completely unheard-of.
Anyways, if you want to know anything else, ask.

Angrist
02-03-2008, 03:59 PM
I was kind of born into it, as in: my parents were Witnesses and I grew up with it. Nobody is fully born into it, because every person has to study the bible himself and then decide if he believes it. If he does and he/she wants to accept it, he gets baptized.
So yes, everbody gets a choice. I got baptized when I was 18, my brother when he was 20. Some want to get baptized when they're 13 or so, it really depends on what somebody believes and if he/she can take responsibility for it.
Do I see truth in other religions? Hm not fully. Most of them have many things right, but they also still have a lot of non-biblic influences. Only God can judge, but I'm glad that we're as close to the bible as we are.
I'm still growing in my religion, trying to do more for the congregation, strengthening my faith and love. I really love it. :)

The Fabric of Reality was a fascinating look into David Deutsch's interpretation of quantum physics, namely the multiverse and how right now there are countless yous and mes in other parallel universes. Somewhere there is a me writing how his whole theory is hogwash and there can't possibly be another him (namely me). It also gave me the best explanation of what science really is that I've ever gotten.
That book put me on the science bent ever since. Now I'm reading The Elegant Universe by Brian Greene. So far, he has given me the best explanation of Einstein's relativity that I have ever gotten. Greene is a very good scientific writer, he makes his book very easy to understand (something that Deutsch often has trouble with).

I learned to read at around age 3-4, and eventually got bored with it.
I bought a book for the first time in a long time (6-7 years?) because I wanted to see how it felt to be one of those hip college(-aged) students who are interested in and curious about things, and spend their time reading and having opinions... And because a program on the civil war sparked my interest.
So on impulse, I ran to amazon.com, glanced through a list of Civil War bestsellers, compared reviews and subject matter, and settled on This Republic of Suffering: Death and the American Civil War (http://www.amazon.com/This-Republic-Suffering-Death-American/dp/037540404X/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1204482473&sr=8-1)...
It's pretty interesting, although I find it hard to keep my eyes and mind focused on reading and comprehending the book... My vision goes blurry, my mind wanders. And I bought it maybe 2 weeks ago and I'm 25 pages in...
Baby steps...
I'd like to learn more about Bube, and Turkey.
Hey, I can't believe somebody would ask about me, lol :) And I really don't know why I haven't seen this before..
Anyway, I'm 22 years old. Moved around a lot because my father was in the Navy - and because of this we lived in Virginia, USA between 92-95, and I had to start school there with no English. In 2nd grade, my teachers made me take some tests - the reason was that they thought I was mentally challenged because I never would do the assignments they gave me, but that was because I was bored. I could've told them if they'd just asked :) Anyway, I was found to be "gifted" and was transferred to a different school. Then we came back to Turkey, and I lived some of the worst years of my life. Things changed, and it's a little better now, although I really don't like life itself.
I've always wanted to be a computer engineer, but due to childish stupidity and bad choices, I'm a 5th year/4th grade med student, in a military medical school - but I'm getting myself kicked out because I don't want to be in the army anymore. I'm hoping to be able to transfer to a normal med school.
Like DH, I don't see a point in small talk and social gatherings. I'm introverted, but I like going out with friends. I'm pretty emotional, faithful, and always try to do the right thing. Ladies like me for these qualities but I've never had any luck with them, because I don't really like the "hey, how you doing" talk. I broke up with my girlfriend, whom I had been together for a year, about a month ago. I most probably have bipolar disorder (still haven't gone to a doctor, schoolmates say so) and am currently in the manic state.
I love music, I play the guitar. I could say that I have a band - my bro plays the drums, my cousin plays bass, we jam together. I'm trying to start a band at school, and to play in our end-of-the-year concert but nobody is as enthusiastic as me, and you just can't make people play. However, I haven't given up on this band thing yet.
Other than music, I love reading (I like either mysteries, or stuff that makes me think), watching movies (I like either mysteries, or stuff that makes me think) playing games (I, too, don't have any friends who like to play as much as I do - except my bro and cousin), and sports - soccer, especially (I support Fenerbahce, they're currently in the 2nd round in the European Champions League - that means they're in the last 16 in the tournament). I also like American football, and support the Redskins.
I've been a member of this community since the nintendodolphin.net days. I'm proud of this, and say it every chance I get.
And that's that, I guess.. Almost a biography. Whew.. Now let's talk about Turkey.. :)
You could say that Turkey is a pretty nice place, if you've got money. It's a great place for sightseeing, and the natural and historical beauty is probably unrivaled, especially in the western and southern coasts.
The north-western, western, southern and the central parts of Turkey are pretty well-developed, especially Istanbul (a northwestern city), Ankara (a central city) and Izmir (a western city). However, the eastern and south-eastern parts are very under-developed, and have serious problems - health and transportation are the most important.
We used to be a pretty modern country, with a little Islamic fanatics sprinkled around (we are an Islamic country, but nothing like Iran or something) but the last 10 years saw an Islamic fanatic prime minister elected, and the country has been going downhill since. The future doesn't look good with what he's trying to do. This is the Republic of Turkey, and he sure seems to think that it shouldn't be.
Besides that, we have a lot of university problems - we have a university test, the only way you can get into a university. Every year, 1,5m people take this test, and only about 200k get in. The rest, they either take it the next year, or they're just high-school graduates. Unemployment is a very serious problem here, and even if you are a university graduate, there's a big chance you won't be able to find a real job.
And..umm..I don't know what else to say.. Any specific things you were wondering about Turkey?
Aaaanndd..that's the end of my longest post ever :) Thank you for reading.
Edit: Great photos, btw, DH. The first one looks very Resident Evil-ish :) All of them are great though.
And GM, the music in the background was Moonlight Sonata, right? Creepy stuff that was. Also reminded me of RE.. It felt like your avatar was talking :)
I like all of the Michael Crichton books. He wrote Jurassic Park, Sphere, Timeline, etc.
Books I recently read and liked: Shogun
Nice. Timeline was great but the movie sucked.
And James Clavell is great. I have his whole Asian Saga. My girlfriend also got me the made-for-TV movie of Shogun, and we're watching it right now. It's really good, and a nice recap of the book.
Edit: Typhoid - Me, Dylan, and Becky all have it. I'm in the middle of the third one right now though.

I loved Timeline as well. Remember the double-slit experiment that he writes about that proves the existence of the multiverse? He took the diagrams and descriptions straight from The Fabric of Reality. That's actually where I heard of it, from Crichton's bibliography.

The only books I've ever read under my own free will, are the books by George Carlin. I have all three, and I've read each of them about 7 times.
I really want to read the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, but nobody I know has it.

Just curious about DarkMaster, like as long as he has been here, I really don't know much about him.
Except he lives on the other side of Canada comparatively to the rest of GT, and I think name is Scott?

My name is Richard, incase no one ever guessed. I am 24 and I have recently moved to Lodon to find work because there was none on The Isle Of Wight where I come from. Plus I thought moving up here would be cool. I am 5ft7.
I have read hundreds of books. To list some favourites off the top of my head
- Jurassic Park
- The Lost World
- Congo
- The Hitchikers Guide To The Galaxy
- 1984
- The Dune Trilogy
- Pretty much every single book in the Redwall series by 'Brian Jaques' there are over 20. Started reading them as a kid and never stopped. He keeps writing new ones.

I guess I'll just throw out some information, even though nobody asked it of me.
My name is Steve. I'm 22 years old. My birthday is December 29th. I've lived in a few places throughout my life. I was born in Hartford, Connecticut. I lived in two different towns in Connecticut until I was 12. Then my family moved to the suburbs of Philadelphia which is where we still reside. My dad is from Philly, so moving there wasn't bad at all since I had been there so much, And I've always been a fan of their sports teams because of my dad. I go to college at the University of Pittsburgh for Civil Engineering. I'll be graduating in December of this year.
Growing up I used to play baseball, and I played Little League for one of the towns that actually won the World Series in 1989, Trumbull, Connecticut. I quit when I moved though, so I focused on other things, such as playing sax. In high school I played Alto Sax, Tenor Sax, and Bari Sax, which is my favorite of the three. At college, I joined the marching band, and I played Tenor Sax, but I eventually quit during my junior year due to my classes being extremely difficult, and band taking up four nights a week really cuts into time needed to do work. This year I joined the cycling team, and I got a spiffy road bike, so that is becoming my new hobby. I also like to build interesting things out of knex when I get the chance.
Hmm..I have two sisters, and one of them is my twin sister. I'm the older twin. I had two cats, but one of them passed away last summer. Her name was Kelly, she was calico colored. The other cat's name is Cassie and she is a white turkish angora, and still alive.
Well that's about it. I would ask to know about someone else, but I can't remember everyone who posted and I can't remember who was requested already.
Nice. Timeline was great but the movie sucked.

The made-for-TV series is awesome. My girlfriend got it for me for my birthday and we really loved it, especially the cheesy sets. However, the entire show was filmed in Japan, and all of the Japanese people only spoke Japanese (except for a couple.) So it definitely feels authentic.
The hair is just downright silly though.
And yeah, I love Tai-Pan. Shogun is more linear and easier to follow but Tai-Pan really gets your noodle in a twist.

Nice, yeah, I got that $400 too in my first year. Bursary, right?
It recommended me to sent a thank you letter to my donor, but they never said who it was. So I never sent one, and I never got a random bursary again. I think it's pretty random though.

Gather round children and I'll tell you a tale. A tale of old Teuth and his crazy pal Dale.
Well, Dale was a space pirate, and a good one at that. He stole a sparkily crate from a Snarphax craft's vat.
Inside the crate was a small creature named Teuthida. He resembled something between a squid and a cicada.
That dastardly Dale chucked Teuth into the vast abyss. And there Teuth floated until out came a piss.
Urine propulsion and a heave of his girth, set our Teuth on a path with the Earth.
Entering the atmosphere ruptured his spleens and altered his flight path to crash land in Queens.
It was the 20th century, in the year of 84. Found by some humans and shoved through their door.
Raised as a human until present day. This has been Teuthida having his say.

Damn, totally missed your bio. You went to a Catholic high school? Do tell more, you're kinda quiet about your religious orientation.
Also, why'd you move so much?
Wow, forgot I even wrote that! Must have been a while ago.
I went to a Catholic high school more so because it was a superior education than I would have received at our public high school. I've gone to both public and private schools. Timeline: Private (Montessori) -> Public (Elementary) -> Private (Middle) -> Public (Middle) -> Private (High) -> Public (University).
I don't really have much to say about my religious views. It's still a developing point for me.
I moved so much because my dad is in the part of health care (HMOs and PPOs) that is somewhat high-risk, high-return, which results in him changing jobs often.

Hmm...very nice. And how's that double major and hospital dream holding up?
Well, I *think* I posted that prior to last summer, during which I interned at a hospital. Hospitals are quite interesting places... but I had trouble coming to terms with my conception of a hospital and its business side, which is what hospital administration would focus around. It just seemed a little unsettling to me I suppose, but it is certainly an interesting profession.
I'm more set on going to law school now (interning at a DA office this summer). With my undergraduate business background I'd probably pursue mergers and acquisitions or bankruptcy law.

Does BaB have a grand scheme to infiltrate into everyone's life on this board?
Poor naive Zebra... what makes you think I haven't already completed this goal? ;)
aight,
I was born 1986 in Yorkton, Saskatchewan. Around the age of 3 my family moved to BC, first to Grand Forks then north to Vernon; Specifically, about ten minutes drive up Silver Star rode. At the age of 5 we again moved to an area between the town of Armstrong and the city of Vernon, known as Grandview Flats. Here I resided with my family for roughly 8 years. As a youth I excelled at sports. It was my thing. Through highschool I basically played videogames and made the most of my gym classes. Around the end of highschool I dropped organized sports and really got absorbed with snowboarding. A seperated clavical last season and a severe ankle sprain this season has left me crippled for the last two years. shame
My dad's is of German descent(his family moved from Germany>Russia>Brazil/Argentina>then finally settled in Canada. My mom's side is from Scotland/France, ancestry of Huguenots.
So, I was raised in a heavily fundamental Christian home. I say that liberally, as my family, in many ways, doesn't fit the fundamental 'evangelical' mold. My mother was dean of women at Canadian University College in Alberta and afterward she utilized her degree by becoming a social worker. For a while she was also principal of a private school which I attended but not until later. And my dad has been everything from a lumberjack, miner, construction worker, farmer, basically an all around Cdn handyman. Whenever we've moved he's always built a house with a large shop for all his tools n toys. Up until our last major move in 2000 we've always had a farm. About 6 years ago we sold our house in Lake Country, bought the property next door, built another house n shop, but no longer have a garden as our property is only 2/3 acre. Relatively, my family could be described as being quite hippyish. My parents would rather me smoke my erb than drink liquor. They're striving for retirement and hoping to achieve a self sufficient lifestyle. My dad is 74 and my mom's over 10 years younger. My dad was about 50 when I was born. Crazy eh!, well, he can still outwork me shoveling rock...and it's not cuz i'm weak. The man's a machine. I think it's genetics mixed with a strict, vegetarian lifestyle. We're Seventh-day Adventists and by average we live a minimum of ten years longer.(not a BS fact, it's referenced to heavily in conventional medicine in regards to apparent health levels among demographics) My dad's ridiculous though, 74 and he's still going strong. Frankly, I want kids when I'm younger so that I don't have to support em when i'm in my later years. Kinda makes me think I should give my parents some grandchildren before too long...but i'm only 23, so, yah, got some shit to take care of before getting into that life. oh ya, I have a sister who just turned 26. She's got an asshole of a boyfriend and my only wish for her is that she can see the situation for what it is and move on with life. In school she finished in the top 1% in Canada for English proficiency. She's the shiz, just needs to figure it out.
After graduating highschool I went to Thailand(05/06) and did a year of college. Had to leave the country as the college got rather upset at me....long story... so came back, have been living off and on at my parents house since. Just moved back in at the beginning of this month. Last year from late summer to mid december I was surfing out at Tofino on Vancouver Island. I've got my undergrad creds pretty much done, just need a year of language and a statistics class, then I'm not certain whether I want to try film school(most probably relocating to Vancouver for this) or pursue my original desire to major in English.
For a while now I've been contemplating an investment in land and starting a greenhouse/farm operation. I'm really into holistic health and the whatnot, and I grew up in a farm setting....and the prospect of living self sufficiently off the land has become more appealing to me as I've been mixed up in the work to eat to live to work to eat cycle already. My uncle and aunt run a fairly large organic farm about an hours drive north of me, and I'll probably be working there part time this summer. For the last 3 years I've been drywalling, doing construction jobs, and school. I figured out I hate trades work....its ok but I'm cutout for something more in line with my interests. School sucks ass but every once in a while there's that moment in study that makes it worth the time n money. Prospects look grim for those without a higher level degree so I might as well take advantage of my situation n not be lazy.
More about me, well...I'm moderately tall. Skinny as F. I divide my time between work, movies(oh sooo many movies), and getting out there with my buds. I've developed an appetite for rock climbing, mountaineering, and surfing, more so in the last year. In the winter i live, breathe, and shit snowboarding. I don't play video games anymore, partially a result of having a less than stellar PC, as well as a redirection of priorities and interests. I have too many cars for how brokish I am. My cat's the best, named him Zen(kinda after Zen), and he hunts. He ate the neighbor's bunny the other day. His belly was so fat he didn't move much for a day and a half, just laid around with a smirk on his face.....there's a ton of rabbits though so no big loss.
My goals for this year are to rehab my ankle(it's serious and hasn't been healing as well as I hoped), figure out what classes I want to take and where, if any direction I want to take with my academics. Been thinking about a minor in education and doing the ESL route in a country such as Korea or wherever work is. By the end of this summer I want to go from 170lbs-185ish. I've recently converted to a vegan diet and have found my fitness levels have continue to improve. So, yeah, my goals this year are basically to stay out of jail, keep saving money, get more motivated in my academics, and hopefully meet a girl who isn't a conniving whore. I've been single for almost 2 years now(casual relationships aside) and it sucks, but I'm still in that rut which may result from being jerked around by a crazy chica. Not saying I'm not crazy, but cod if a broad can't cripple a man.
anyway, this last year I found Jesus and he's been the big difference. When I strive to know him better my life enters clarity, dunno how else to say it. praise God!
btw, if any of you want to check out the best part of Canada, come to the Okanagan. I'll show you past all the traffic and bullshit...it really is the shiznat. I figure it's about 4 1/2 hour drive to Whistler/Blackombe, but we've got 2 prime mountains within an hours drive. We've got revelstoke 2 hours northeast which has the longest vert of any ski hill in North America(Whistler had this title prior). In the summer it's wakeboarding n swimming. Where I live right now, I can see Okanagan Lake, Kalamalka Lake is only 12 minutes drive north, and I'm surrounded by orchards. That's what they do here, sell ridicuously priced cherries to the Japanese and obsess over wine. This is Canada's Napa Valley.
I dunno why I'm doing this sales pitch...maybe if GT ever had a meet....the cdn dollar's good exchange right now and it's close enough to vancity for one f'd up roadtrip. I'm glad I didn't sign up for classes in Vancity this year cuz of the olympics. One sad bad thing about the Okanagan is that it has the highest average age in Canada...it's Florida here without the humidity and crocs...just old people. It's a desert actually. Even with all the old farts and golf courses there's still a lot of hotties though. well, more so than lets say, Campbell River lol. Jarome Iginla's building his house about a 1 minute walk down the street from me. It's richville here, any property on the lakeshore is minimum 1 million. Interior>lower mainland. I nominate either here or Vancouver for a meet.
Well, I can go on....but don't want to turn this into anything too seriously psychoanalytic.
I've been in love with a girl for almost 3 years now, and she doesn't know it. I think it's killing me slowly. :)
