Thats interesting, but nothing new, really. There are still families in America that live on wealth built on the backs of slaves, only a few years ago the world was awash in valuable conflict diamonds (blood diamonds) and today we all enjoy clothes and products that are made in countries that treat human rights like used toilet tissue and rich shieks make millions by hording billions in oil revenues and helping to keep their people trapped in a medeival societal structure and laugh as they blow one another to pieces.

The Germans didn't almost win World War 2 with poor engineering. They did some crazy things with technology during the war. Lots of horrible horrible crazy things.

And to be fair, they also did some great things, too. Without German scientists and engineers there would be no space flight, no highways, no modern jets, etc. There is a reason why one of the biggest contentions after the war was who will get the brains behind the Reich for their own uses.

Science, like religion and economics, is not an evil unto itself. It is a means to power for good or bad. And like all means to power they can be easily perversed by evil men.

I don't know about you, but I don't think highways, space flight, and jets are a free trade for genocide.

Who's saying we wouldn't have those things if history didn't happen that way?
I know there are millions and millions of people who would trade an extra 20 years to get to the moon, or an extra 10 years until city planners realized to expand a road so more people can pass on it - for their parents/grandparents back.

Please point out where I said they justified genocide. You really need to stop putting words in people's mouths. Its embarrassing.

Who's saying we wouldn't have those things if history didn't happen that way? I know there are millions and millions of people who would trade an extra 20 years to get to the moon, or an extra 10 years until city planners realized to expand a road so more people can pass on it - for their parents/grandparents back.

Well since it never happened that way, we'll never know. So to say they would have come around eventually is mere speculation.

Why do you insist on answering my comments so emotionally and assuming my attitude and thoughts beyond what I actually communicate? What I wrote was exactly what I meant: not everything the Nazi's did was bad. That doesn't mean I think it excuses genocide. It just means some OBJECTIVELY good things came out of it. I don;t need to qualify that statement by saying that the Nazi's were evil and heinous, because that is obvious to anyone with a lick of sense.

Stop and think before you blabber on about what you think I mean when I post. Respond to what I write, and not whatever fiction you've created in your fevered mind.
