Even though, it's only a rumor...

RUMOR: French Role Playing Game magazine reported a rumor that Square Enix is considering a new installment of Super Mario RPG for NDS, in which Final Fantasy characters will cross-over with Mario characters.

- RUMOR: The magazine also reported rumors that Yasumi Matsuno will cooperate with Nintendo and Square Enix on a new Ogre Battle strategy RPG for Wii; and Camelot will finally work on a Golden Sun sequel for Wii.

I doubt Matsuno will do anything with Square, but yeah lets see it happen, would be sweeeeeet.

I don't like the mixing of Mario and Final Fantasy characters. Different universes. This should be a big no.

Since the Kingdom Hearts games turned out so bad...

Personally, I am against it because don't like MArio RPG and think the Paper MArio and Mario and Luigi series are better. :)

They've done it before.

in Super Mario RPG, there were cameos from the Final Fantasy series (granted, they were only cameos) and they even did it in sports games (Mario Hoops 3 on 3).

if they use a SMRPG's style.. or something similar, it won't be a big deal.

Yeah but.. nobody's ever heard of them.

Also, Super Mario RPG was the tits. I played that for so long as a kid.
