Price drop in effect beginning of November. Pick up yours then!

Seriously though, if you have an HDTV you pretty much owe it to yourself to buy one.

Well, I'm glad I bought my 20-gig at $350 now. :D I didn't see it going under $399 anyways.

Wait, what happened to 60GB? Isn't that still the main SKU in other countries?

My brother bought one......at the moment there's nothing that stands out on the console that makes me wanna buy it compared with the Wii and X360.

I will get one, just not now

Not anymore, I don't think. It's the one I have, but they stopped production of it a while back in favor of the 80 GB version, and now the 40 GB as a cheaper alternative.

I think the 40GB and 80GB are on sale in Europe right now...

Wow nice price drop. @_@

I'm getting mine in January with my tax return more than likely lol

-EDIT-

Gotta mention what I'd rather have backward compatiility personally... but my Ps2 isn't bad, I wouldn't mind keeping it. The $100 more for having to operate one less system isn't exactly worth it :P

That is too bad they took away backward compatibility. Must have been a cost cutting measure.

Not according to this. (http://www.gamespot.com/news/6181373.html?om_act=convert&om_clk=newstop&tag=newstop;title;7)

"Exec concedes that missing feature doesn't lower production costs much, explains that being able to play old games discouraged buying new ones."

Yeah, can't argue with that.

Playing the good PS2 games would discourage me from buying the half-assed, new PS3 games.

The heads in Europe said that taking out the emotion engine cut costs and they'll do backwards compatibility by emulation software (like Xbox 360). So yeah, I'd rather buy the 80GB model anyway.

It's true...they make more money off of it, and it's still selling ridiculously well for a 7 year old system.
