So Sonic has been added to the SSBB roster, not quite unexpected. What other characters do you want to see in Brawl?

Characters can be divided over 3 groups: Veterans, Newcomers Nintendo, Newcomers 3rd Party.

I'll start, you try to fill up, I'll edit. When we have a good list, I'll make a new thread where we can vote.

Veterans:
Captain Falcon
Ganondorf (with a new moveset?)
Ness
Luigi (this time with vacuum please)
Mewtwo
Mr. Game & Watch

Newcomers Nintendo:
Paper Mario
Cel-shaded Link
Cel-shaded Ganon
Ridley (Metroid)
Tom Nook (Animal Crossing)
Captain Olimar (Pikmin)
Waluigi
Little Mac (Punch Out)

Newcomers 3rd Party:
Megaman / Megaman X (what's the difference?)
Black Mage (Final Fantasy biggest icon?)
Moogle (Final Fantasy)
Leon S. Kennedy (Resident Evil)
Rayman (though he's probably not big enough in Japan)
Bomberman
Battletoad
Chibi-Robo

How about Captain Olimar from Pikmin?

Also, I really hope they don't give Luigi a vacuum move.

Oh, and I'd love to see Waluigi as a playable character. They could deck him out in his Strikers uniform.

Does anyone remember if Sakurai ever said how many characters Brawl would have? I thought I remembered between 30 and 40, but I'm not sure.

22 characters have been announced so far. 10 more and they have a nice number. Polls here can only have a maximum of 15 entries, so tomorrow I'll create one on another website.

By the way, I personally think Cel-shaded Ganondorf could be an alternative costume to the normal Ganondorf.

I think Little Mac is confirmed as a trophy, so that means he won't be a character.

No, but since I have a lack of a Wii, and no desire to purchase this game, I read the title, and posted who I think would be neat in the game.

I think Sakurai said a roster of around 40. But with the release date pushed back, we could possibly get extras.
