i usually say "online" whenever i refer to the internet, unless i have to say "the internet"...which is what i say in those cases. :p
and Jeepnut, he means without the word "the".

Normally internet, but once in a while I like to just throw "World wide web" out there, just for kicks more or less.

It's either The Web or the Internet. It all depends on the age of the person I'm talking with. While I'm at work, it's usually the older age group I talk with that is when I use The Internet.
But when I'm talking with friends, it's the web.
