...Just got back from Game 7 here in Toronto at the Air Canada Center...
WHAT. A. GAME
WHAT A SERIES!!!
The Leafs played with so much heart...I mean who would have thought that 2 of the best players in the last game would be Alyn McCauly (the series scoring leader, btw) and Gary Valk!!!????
I almost had a heart attack in the last few minutes until Mogilny potted an empty-netter.
WOOOOOOO
I'm also very proud that everyone in the ACC cheered throughout the playing of the American national anthem. Great series, and bring on the Senators!
GO LEAFS GO

Now THAT was a series. One of the most brutal in recent memory. It made me like watching hockey again. Congrats to the Leafs.
And Stu, let the national anthem thing go, man. Its not that big of a deal. If Canadians had booed our anthem, none of us would have cared. Its a sporting game, not real life. I ubderstand that you are proud of your country, as am I, but the fact is that if the Pistons were playing the Sixers and they played the Pennsylvania State Anthem they would have booed it just the same. It honestly had nothing to do with animosity toeards Canadians.
After all, what is there to dislike Canadians for? Hording trees? They're nice people who are very clean and make great beer. Nothing to dislike there.:D

haha... Shows how much you believe in that statement! haha.. People in Vancouver booed your anthem, and you don't know/care about it. Haha.. I find that funny because you seem so clueless.
And yeah, that was a pretty good series. Ottawa vs. Leafs is shaping up to be a good one too...
Yay! But now the Senators must beat the Leafs because of my prediction in Null's contest. Muwahaha!:mad2:

That certainly was a great series, but compared to Montreal's victory over Boston, it wasn't 'too' great.
Anyhoo, during one of the game's in Vancouver, the guy singing the Canadian national anthem stopped half-way through (purposely) and the crowd sang the rest, it was so perfect.
These play-offs are shaping up to be one of my favourites that I've ever seen, and my two favourite teams aren't even in for the last time since I was born probably (Oilers and Pens). The Toronto/Isles series was one **** of a series, with the kind of games that hockey fans like with all the grit. Vancouver made their series with Detroit exciting and made everyone believe they could upset the might Wings. Ottawa/Philly series showed Ottawa dominate the Flyers. Colorado and LA went to game seven and had the coaches at eachother's throats, and Montreal had the big upset over Boston, and provided us with a showing of heart, pure class, underdog-winning goodness, and great goaltending.
It has had everything so far, now just imagine we still have the battle of Ontario, the third chapter, and possibly Detroit vs Colorado, Montreal vs Toronto (), and the Stanley Cup finals.

Joeiss, you kind of made my point clearer. I don't care if Canadians boo our anthem. Go ahead. What does it mean? Nothing. Its a sporting event. Not NATO, not Congress, not Parliament or whatever you Canadians have over there. Hockey and Basketball. Get over it.
Now after being involved in this conversation about the anthem booing, I have to alter my perception of Canadians. They are now clean, make great beer and are WHINY.J/K:p
