Yes, I'm sure I will catch a lot of flake for this but not many people post here anymore anyhow.
But yes, the show has jumped the hill long ago and honestly most of us shouldn't like it when growing up.
But there is a soft spot in my heart for the original cheesy as hell Power Rangers.
And currently watching ToonDisney and they have some sort of Power Rangers marathon or something, not really sure. And of course they are showing the greatest sets of episodes known to a Power Ranger person...
Yup Green with Evil.
And thanks to one of my favorite sites shall bring you 4 of the 5 episodes.
Don't know where 3 is...

Ah, the Power Rangers. Actually, I think the "Green With Evil" mini-series is what made me want to follow the series religiously. Besides, you can't lose with giant robots and fit women in spandex.
There was actually a convention in Los Angeles, California back in June? It was called "Power Morphicon". There might even be another one.
Fifteen seasons (going on sixteen next year) and still going on strong. Though it looks like it'll be having some competition next year, with an American adaption to a tokusatsu in Japan called Kamen Rider Ryuuki. The American version will be called Kamen Rider Dragon Knight here, and will be shown on the Cartoon Network.

15 seasons? That must make it one of the longest series, not far behind The Simpsons?

Actually, the Simpsons has more. That'll be on its 19th season come the 23rd of this month.

I think I should also mention that the show actually has a rather diverse fanbase, despite its target audience. The oldest fan I know of is in her 50's, but that's basically because she watches it with her son, who's a fan, and is in his 20's. So you know that he, as well as many others, have still stuck with it for quite a while.

I quit the Power Rangers thing once "In Space" ended. I mean, the story was over. Zordon sacrificed himself to wipe out evil in the universe, but somehow there's still evil in the universe and the story continues only now its separate random teams created out of nowhere...
I liked the continuity...

Gonna have to agree with you 100% here.
Once in Space ended, I really didn't feel the need to follow the show because it didn't have an on-going storyline.
I also liked how the team evolved instead of needing new Power rangers every season.

They were adapting the format of Sentai, the Japanese series on which Power Rangers was based. Every Sentai series has its own theme (even though there are a few that have similar themes), and each PR season took material from a Sentai series. That's why things changed all the time. So after Space, they decided to go the Sentai route. I personally happen to prefer it, but it would have been better if they did that from the very beginning. It's said that Saban didn't do it right away because they didn't want to alienate the viewers. So I guess they just waited for the time they thought was right. I liked that they weren't going on with that whole thing where the same ranger group kept on needing new powers and zords, and having to go up against another arch-villain, thus prolonging the arch-villain food chain.
By the way, here's a pretty good site that gives information on all the Sentai series from the beginning up to now. Power Rangers started with Zyuranger.
http://www.supersentai.com
Most of the battles were footage taken from these Sentai series, dubbed over with English dialog and all that. So, when they've used up all the footage from one Sentai, they have to go to the next Sentai and use the footage from that, for the next Power Rangers season. They could just take those costumes and make up their own battles, but using the footage is cheaper for them. So as long as they're going to rely on footage, they'll have to change the ranger suits every year. If they're going to change the suits, they might as well change the cast along with them.
I don't know how you like this for continuity, but...
Power Rangers' tenth season--subtitled "Wild Force"--had a special to celebrate their anniversary, where ten Red Rangers (sans Rocky) from the beginning up until that time teamed up to defeat generals from the Machine Empire which came from the Zeo season.
In the twelfth season, Tommy returns as a science teacher and recruits three teenagers from his school to become Power Rangers. Tommy himself becomes a ranger again, and his color is black this time. The 500th episode of Power Rangers came about in this season (also the fourth episode of this season), and it's where the three rangers find out about Tommy's past, and basically a whole bunch of things that have happened in Power Rangers history since the beginning up until that point.
This current season even had a two-parter where the current team of rangers team up with a ranger from each of four preceding ranger teams, and one of the rangers from the Mighty Morphin era (Adam). They faced off against a villain who happened to be the son of Lord Zedd and Rita Repulsa. Now this was a special to commemorate the fifteenth anniversary (or rather, season).
The seventh, eighth, ninth, tenth, twelfth, and thirteenth seasons have also had teamups where the rangers of those seasons have teamed up with the ranger teams that came right before them.
Also, here's a site that shows you what the different seasons so far have been about, and their rangers:

But Thunder megazord came before Ninja Megazord.
No signs of dragon sword or Shogun Megazord
Delta Zord is also missing.
