So yeah, my basement is partially submerged at the moment. I'm not sure how long I'll be without my computer. I'm in the southeastern corner of Minnesota (look at Rochester, for more detail), and we're just above a pressure zone that's keeping this storm right over our heads. Possible for the next week.
So I'm not sure when I'll be on again to post. Just wanted to apologize for my lack of involvement in the Mafia game. We should do it regularly, it's a lot of fun. Anyway, I'm gonna go take a nap, I was up until 2 last night bailing water out of my basement's sump pump well.

I think the aliens did it. It must have been them. Who else? It could be anyone here. Aaaah!
Our sump pump failed one time during a heavy down pour and I had to bail that damn thing out for nearly twelve hours. It's not fun, I know. Good luck.

Ours was still working, plus we had another submersible pump running water through a hose to my shower drain and we were still carrying buckets >_<
But yeah, you know exactly what I mean. I'm gearing up for round two tonight. Not looking forward to it.

Weird, my apartment is flooded as well. The remnants of Hurricane Erin basically swept over Oklahoma, and in a one-in-a-million chance increased in strength to "tropical depression," which means that Oklahoma just received the closest thing to a hurricane it'll ever get and the highest and most widespread floods in at least 40 years.
So, yeah, my apartment is flooded and wet and nasty. Some stuff got ruined, but fortunately I was able to get most stuff off the floor (it never rose inside the house beyond ankle deepish, although it was almost as high as my window outside at one point).
So, its coo'.

I feel your pain. Our basement floods sometimes. And we dont have a sump pump, but we are looking into getting one. Seems to happen about every other year.

Forgive the mess, I didn't exactly have time to clean up for your benefit :-p

These pictures are before we lost control of the water level. I'll upload the worst of it later, I haven't taken any pictures of that yet.
