The mosquito ring tone is a high pitch ringtone (high frequency ringtone) that adults can't hear. The mosquito ring tone can be downloaded here for free for use as a high frequency ringtone. To many, the mosquito ringtone is "silent" not an annoying buzz. Hence, it's use as a secret ringtone by kids so their parents and teachers can't hear their cell phones ring. Sneaky...

When we get old, we lose the ability to hear high frequencies, a condition called Presbycusis. To disperse loitering teenagers in front of your establishment, blast them with high pitched sounds and they'll go away. Meanwhile your adult customers can't hear the sound and aren't bothered by it. Students then started using a high frequency sound as their ringtone. Their teachers couldn't hear it. So much for banning cell phones in class. I've heard that some adults can hear it but don't let on to kids and students!

In general, adults can't hear a frequency ring tone but kids can. Students use the high pitch mosquito ringtone to receive text messages in school so their teachers can't hear their cell phones ring. Like during tests. Think cheating...

Argh, what an annoying sound. Yes I heard it.

Sometimes I wonder if I have superhuman senses. I smell a lot better than average (I can smell it if somebody's secretly smoking somewhere in the building), I can still hear high frequencies (although I'm not that old yet).
Ok, that's just 2 out of 5. Actually I think my sight might be getting worse lately. Sometimes people with glasses can read stuff from farther away than I can. And I'm not sure about feeling/tasting.

Eh, it's just changes with age.

Same thing with a TV.

None of my roommates could hear the sound a TV makes when it's on but nothing is on.
