I'm thinking the name should directly refer to Gametavern, giving GT some well needed advertising. Out of the ones listed, Cowboys of Rhetoric sounds most like us. But maybe along with a direct reference, like GTCOR, but something less stupid and long and boring.

I don't know what it means, I don't know where it came from, and I don't know if I'll ever actually get into online gaming (OK, when I get an xbox I probably will)...

But Pole Huskers stands out as far superior from the rest...

Not only is it simply a great name, but Cowboys, Ninjas, pirates, and references to "pwn" are a dime a dozen...

I think you got a good point DH. But then again, pretty much any clan name we come up with will seem trite and like it's been done a million times. Once it becomes an acronym, it doesn't really matter anymore.

Maybe we can do a theme clan name instead, something a little less obvious then putting an acronym at the front of our names, but after people look at the group of names a little bit, it will click in their heads and they will get that "Oh, I get it!" feeling like they solved a puzzle.

Like we all use fruit names, e.g. kiwiDeathsHand, dragonfruitProfessorS, figMrCoffee, avocadoAngrist, etc. (or perhaps just the fruit names)

Or we all use band names. beckTyphoid, rhcpMrCoffee, britspearsProfessorS :p

Or sports team names. Or something like that.
