General Strike for 09-11-07

A general strike has been proposed for 9/11/07. No work, school or shopping. Even a low number of participants can make a difference. The event will show up on the radar of the Powers That Be.

You want to Powers that Be to sit up and take notice? Vote. The problem is that the side that feels so strongly about this issue just doesn't have the numbers to vote in a majority that want an immediate pullout.

Not only that, but no politician has the balls to really push for an immediate pullout, because they know what will happen. Iraq will REALLY turn into a new Vietnam, where an estimated 1,000,000+ were slaughtered when the US left.

This is just a bunch of kids, or immature adults, who want a self-righteous excuse to skip out on school and work. They tried to organize this crap when I was in school because of a lack of good toilet paper (I'm not kidding).

I have an idea, lets have a anti-war smoke in! Everyone who is against the war, smoke weed on 9/11/07. Its a great excuse to do so and it validates otherwise frowned ypon behavior! Best of all worlds! :rolleyes:

So instead of buying those new pants on 9/11, you'll buy them on 9/12. Instead of filling up with gas on 9/11, you'll do so on 9/10. Instead of working on 9/11, you'll play catch-up on 9/12. This sounds great! Doing absolutely nothing to your overall average consumerism is fun.
