Typhoid is at home from work with a back injury.

So let's cheer him up!

We shouldn't talk about moving comfortably, jumping on trampolines, or doing cart wheels in this thread.

Or anything fun that requires a working spine for that matter.

a proper cheer up thread needs pictures of elegant women in very little or nothing...nothing at all

Today I am not looking forward to running five miles and then lifting weights.

Bad back you say? Well, sir, I have the solution to that -- sex and lots of it!

Oh, wait, what was I thinking, that's not a good solution at all. Why, it's almost as if I was just taunting you with something great that you can't have.

You're a dick.
You're just mad I wouldn't go for a walk with you yesterday.

PS. Where's Hitch-hoker-hike's guide, damnit.
it feels like Thursday of November to me, and it's only been 2 and a half days off work.

How did you injure your back and how bad is it?

I did it fighting a polar bear in the tundra.

It's actually better now, I can sort of 90 year old man-walk to the computer, and fridge. But I can't twist qucikly, and can't really lift anything.

The doctor's order was "Don't move."
I proceeded to ask how I was to not move.
He said "Lay there. Don't move."

What's killing me the most isn't my back. The painkillers deal with that. What gets to me is the sheer boredom of doing nothing all day for 5 days. The most I've done nothing for (in the past year) is a day. 5 days is tragic.

Well, i didnt have fun, lifting a dozen 2"x12"x20' rough Cedar boards and placing them in the appropriate racks, seriously........it sucked. Consider yourself lucky that you didn't have to put 100 lbs. 20' boards into shelves a foot off the ground.

I hurt my back once and my doctor told me not to lift anything more than 5 lbs. So, everytime I had to pee I'd ask someone to help me out.

Hey man...I thought I'd cheer you up by taking your Snake record in the Arcade. It's a sad thing to be proud of, but I'm happy I have the title.
