Embedded Videos vs. Linking to Videos

I was wondering if people prefer it when someone links to a video (as we have always done in the past) or if you prefer having the video embedded in the actual post (as I've recently done here (http://www.gametavern.net/forums/showthread.php?p=211003#post211003) and here (http://www.gametavern.net/forums/showthread.php?t=17257)). Opinions?

I enjoy embedding...Saves a little work. I might have never watched that MGS4 video, but since it was embedded, why not?! Yeah.

Same lines along Germanator's post. I'm more likely to watch a video that doesn't require navigation away from the forum. Yeah, I know its not a huge deal.

Take for example though, your James Blunt triangle thread. I probably would not have viewed or responded to it had the video not been embedded.

Is the ability to embed something you recently implemted? Cause I don't remember being able to do that or else I would've for all my various YouTube posts.

Yeah, it's new. A lot of video hosting websites have embed links now that you can just copy and paste in the forum. I think we'll keep it around as long as it doesn't get abused.
