Hahahaha
I was thinking they missed a real opportunity there, they could have had him strumming like he was to start, but then midway through have Kermit come on the lead guitar over the strumming, then Ernie on drums, and Piggy on tambourine.
Wait, are Kermit and Piggy still on that show? Were they ever? I'm confused.
Oh, and then Elmo tripping on acid while yelling "Free Bird" in the crowd and laughing maniacally.

Why does he always seem like he's about to cry when he sings?

It's called emotional. Play along.
But seriously, if that's not on iTunes tomorrow, I'll be pissed.
The actual episode airs August 31st, so you might have to wait awhile...

I don't like James Blunt and not even Sesame Street is going to change that.

Maybe it's the best song ever written about a triangle.

Kermit was on Sesame Street and The Muppet Show, movies, etc. Don't think Miss Piggy was ever on Sesame Street.

My vote goes for Pink Triangle by Weezer.

Oh right, I wasn't really aware that there were too many other songs about triangles... As in the specific shape...
Not other various sorts of triangles, such as Bizarre Love Triangles...
Yeah I'm not big on James Blunt, is what I'm trying to say.

His high pitched voice is annoying.

His high pitched voice is annoying.
It's called an emotional peak.
He can hardly contain his composure at that point.
It helps to accent that portion of the song as the one most likely to provoke an "I can so relate", and potentially a tear, by any sad people who might be listening in.
Perhaps it's even the whole reason those folks tuned into the song in the first place, as an emotional aid.
Obviously you just never felt that anything was as special to you as his triangle was to him...

I hope he finds that triangle.
