If anyone says this is an interesting conference, I will punch them in the mouth.

Punch me. :) I'm enjoying it, but probably for other reasons.

It's funny how they spend a lot of time on casual-gaming. And shooters. A lot of shooters.

MGS4 PS3 exclusive. Guess I'll be buying a PS3.

Is MGS4 a movie or a game? From those trailers, it looked more like a movie than anything else. I don't want to see a 5-minute cut-scene of 2 guys fighting, I want to bé one of those 2 guys fighting!!

DarkMaster

the cut-scene could lead into an actual gameplay battle, but regardless, MGS has always been a cinematic gameplay experience.

MGS4 exclusive, Haze exclusive, Unreal Tournament 3 exclusive. First party games looking awesome...great holiday lineup plus MGS4 and Killzone in early 2008. PS3 bitches, it's here to stay.

If anyone says this is an interesting conference, I will punch them in the mouth.

That was by far the most interesting of the 3 conferences.

...I'm waiting.

I didn't catch all of it, but it seemed like more of the same. *yawn*

I'll pass.

Damn. MGS4 will be one of the things that may veer me towards a ps3. I was hoping it'd go on Xbox 360.... buuut, I bet sooner or later it might end up there. Now to watch the trailers :o

Does anyone know what that song is they sounded after the show ended? The one with the Star Wars mix?

pics? just find a pic of the current psp model. it looks exactly the same. just slightly slimmer, a bit lighter, improved battery life, and video output.

First of all, the feed of the press conference wanted to make me kill someone else.

Now, I noticed how Sony avoided any and all statistical graphs and analysis. I found that very interesting as last year was strictly statistical graphs and analysis.

I got to say they were the clear cut winners as far as conferences go this year.

You found it interesting when it was obvious this was the first time in years they haven't dominated in pure sales numbers...plus people often complained about how boring watching powerpoint slides was?

Haze is a timed exclusive for the PS3, not an outright exclusive. It is also coming to the Xbox 360 and PC. I just checked Gamespot and it shows Unreal Tournament 3 being released for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC at the end of 2007. Now, it is possible PS3 has a new timed exclusive, but again, not outright exclusivity. And I believe MGS4 and Killzone 2 are both TBA 2008.

Yes, it's always interesting to see what companies do and how they present themselves when they go from dominating an industry to being in last place. Personally, I enjoy slideshow presentations, although I realize not everyone enjoys numbers and graphs.

Ok, it did start to get interesting by the time they showed MGS4. Infamous looks pretty good too.

As far as conferences go, what's different about this year's E3?

I dunno, I guess it is not as exciting. Did we see a single surprise game/announcement from any company? What's there looks pretty alright, but it really was more of the same. Not really impressed with any of the 3 systems' offerings thus far.

Meh, Haze and UT3 were said to be exclusive this year. People made a big stink when Devil May Cry 4 was to be released on XBox 360 (and it wasn't even a timed exclusive), I don't see how this isn't important.

About Haze:

IGN: Is it a permanent exclusive or will it be timed, ala Oblivion?

Key: Haze will only be found on PS3 this holiday season, and will remain exclusive through the first quarter of the calendar year.

Anyways, exclusives (at LEAST timed) shown:

Third party:

-Haze
-Unreal Tournament 3
-Metal Gear Solid 4

First/second party:

-Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction
-Heavenly Sword
-Little Big Planet
-PSN titles (Wipeout HD, Pain, Warhawk, SOCOM, etc.)
-Uncharted: Drake's Fortune
-Folklore
-InFamous (debut)
-Killzone 2 (debut)
-Gran Turismo 5 (semi debut)

did I forget any?

coupled with a ton of multiplatform gems including Call of Duty 4, this is looking like a great future lineup of games for PS3 owners.

pretty sure UT3 is ps3 'console' exclusive this year.

from everything i'm reading its still set to be on time for pc. and i really doubt epic would do something to piss off its pc community.

Simply wanted to get the facts straight. :)

I figured out the Unreal Tournament III deal. UT III is exclusive to the PC and PS3 until early 2008, when a 360 version will be released.

PS3 and PC exclusive for 2007.

yea. so its not really exclusive at all. its just a delayed 360 version :P

as i said, epic would have to be extremely stupid to piss off their pc community like that.
