A separate press conference for Killzone 2 should be going on right now and last until midnight pt time.

I haven't heard any information yet though.

IGN seemed t be impressed by it. Not 100% up to the old trailer's graphics, but close enough. Some of the best visuals seen to date.

Um, yeah. Click the link to watch the trailer. Easily the best looking console game I've seen. Parts of the game match the E3 2005 CG trailer, I think the area it doesn't match it is animation but a lot of that had to do with the CG being scripted.

It looks good graphically.

Has it been stated that was in-game engine footage? Because it wasn't in-game.

And is there a confirmed release date?

EDIT: Gamespot says this game is TBA 2008. I thought it was coming out this year?

From the trailer, it looks like it's half in game, half cut-scene. When you land and step out of the transport, the game starts. When you talk to the guy hanging over the map, cut-scene again. Gameplay again.

The game is a tad dark, are they hiding something?

Some of the textures are a bit bland and the smoke/explosiony effects aren't as realistic as in the previous pre-rendered trailer, but I'd say they've come pretty dern close to living up to the hype (graphically speaking)...

Which is pretty amazing considering almost nobody except hardcore Sony fans thought it'd be anywheres near possible...

That is, of course, assuming this was all in-game footage... *gasp*

It's all in-game graphics. And the game is "pre-pre-alpha", and only about half of the games final animations are currently in the game, plus they plan on reworking a lot of the textures and effects.

It's realtime running on something, but doesn't mean there is anything beyond that first wall you see out there.

that doesnt mean anything. its very easy to record a demo of you playing and then remove the hud from it. any pc game can do that with 1 command.


im not saying its in game at all, just that there not being a hud doesnt mean anything either way.
