... this forum should only be viewable to us who are actually doing the podcast (myself, Dyne, GameMaster and gekko).

So, I was testing out recording on my PC vs. MBP yesterday, and I must say the quality of the audio on my PC was superior to my Macintosh. Has anyone else ever tried recording audio on their mac? Perhaps I simply have to change a setting?

I would ideally like to use macs, since garageband+ichat is just so simple.

Once this audio quality gets hammered out I'll get working on the schedule for our first show. I was thinking we could do introductions, what games/movies we played/watched this past week. Perhaps some videogame news (but not the general news items you could find anywhere, maybe some off the wall stuff). Then we could do personal features, like Dyne talking about Propaganda Games, gekko talking about going to DigiPen. Maybe one of those an episode. Lastly, an 'on the forums' segment maybe. What do you guys think?

Yeah, that's a good idea.

I don't know how good the quality of the built-in microphone is on the MB, Bond. You might consider buying an inexpensive mic from Logitech or someone.

Well, the thing is, I do have a headset that I used on both my pc and mac. So I was thinking perhaps the sound card on my pc is simply better, but my mac is a better overall machine, so I'm not quite sure.

That works. I'll most likely be using my internal mic, but if that doesn't work out I'll go pick a mic up on my work lunches.

Wow, it's been a month and I haven't gotten anything done as far as this podcast goes.

I've downloaded and listened to several different podcasts in the mean time, and I've found the majority of them are simply people rambling and not informative at all. The good ones, obviously have quality content and excellent personalities.

I'm ready for a progress report.
