I just started playing Gears of War yesterday. I beat it on casual when I originally got it and wasn't a huge fan of the game. So I picked it up again with the intention to beat it on the hardcore difficulty. Well, I did, and I must say it's much more of a rewarding experience on hardcore. I'm now attempting to beat it on insane.

Has anyone else gone through GoW on insane?

Difficulty makes games so much better. I started playing Warcraft 3 and TFT on normal, but it was way too easy. A year later I beat them on hard and that was just great.

I wish the Zelda games would have a hard-option. Actually I don't understand why not more games (Metroid Prime?) do that.

Yeah, GoW is much more fun on hardcore. I didn't bother to use active reload until the final boss on Casual, and that made it a ton more fun.

I don't think I've gone back to single player since I started playing it online though.

Angrist: Did you play Zelda: Master Quest?

I started playing it but I never got past the first dungeon, it wasn't the right time to replay OoT. I'll probably do that sooner or later.

I finally beat RAMM (the last boss) on insane. It literally took me over fifty tries, but with the help of a five-year-old over Xbox Live I was able to beat him!
