So I listen to a lot of podcasts these days: Philosophy Bites, Bill Maher, Major Nelson, Videogame Outsiders... anyway, I was wondering if anyone would be interested in doing a GameTavern podcast? We have a fairly diverse community and we could have some interesting perspectives. We'd have to see who is interested, get the equipment and decide on subject matter.

I'd do it.

Shall we come up with a cool name? How about Flame Wars?

Well, it could center around whatever people want. We'd obviously have to organize the show somehow.

Podcasts can be done very easily with garageband and ichat over macintoshs. If we include windows machines it gets a little more complicated.

I think I'm going to try garageband and ichat for the first few episodes.

So I know GameMaster and gekko have macs, but who else does and would want to do the podcast?

GameMaster

I think Dyne has an iBook.

Bond

Well, it doesn't sound like there is much interest, so it's probably not worth doing.

Dyne

Yeah, I have a powerbook.

I could do a game industry thing if this thing still flies.

Bond

That would be cool.

I'm assuming you had to sign a NDA?

GameMaster

Well there should only be a few hosts anyways. And the group of us hosts talk about different topics every session. We can also take questions from our members and then we can answer them on the program. Think of it as a radio talk show or something along the line of Talking Points on Fox News Network.

NDA for Disney? Yeah, I've even had to sign NDA's for clinical sleep companies. It's all good.

I'll work on an outline for a show over the next few days then and see what we've got.

GameMaster

I don't think you need a Mac to take part, Bond was just saying its a seamless operation with the iChat and Garageband software.

I'd participate...except I don't have a computer at home anymore (for who knows how long).

Please don't make it too long. I'd rather have 5 podcasts of 10 minutes than 1 podcast of an hour.
