Initially, I wasn't planning on getting one.
But the hype from today and yesterday has got me kind of longing for one now.
Yes... but I can't switch plans for a little over a year... so no.

Yeah, same here.
If it wasn't so much money, I'd just cancel my Verizon service immediately.

I hardly even use the phone I have...
As for portable entertainment, I'm content with my iPod and empty starin' space...
I work down the street from an Apple Store... It's fun to see all the little kiddies lined up when a new Apple product drops...

No 3G, No removable battery, No MMS, No removable memory, No recording video, No thank you.
This thing was supposed to redefine the cell phone and it doesn't have 3G! Just so you guys know, the internet that you see on the phone demo was WiFi. The iPhone uses EDGE, it's the same thing that T-Mobile uses. EDGE is extremely slow, think slower then 56K modems on your computer. Annoying.
Waiting for version 2, then maybe.

I will wait until the third or fourth gen, when all the bugs are worked out, and they bump it up to 3G. I don't know how anyone can jusitify $650(after tazes) plus a $100/ per month for a cellphone. I feel this is going to be just loike the Razr and in a couple years they will be just as common and just as inexpensive.

The lack of actual buttons is something that I would really have to spend time to get over. For me, I like the sensation of force feedback. All the televised news people and newspaper writers seem more impressed with the "it's apple and it's sexy!" part of the phone rather than its features. I wonder how the phone will sell once the initial rush of buyers levels off.

Whelp, I happened to be at the mall and walking by the Apple store, so I stopped in to see if I could check it out. To my surprise, they had about 15 or 20 on display for people to fiddle with. Little to my surprise, they were all but two taken up by fellow oglers.
I had never been that impressed by what I had heard of the thing, well to be truthful, I should say that I never wanted to spend that kind of money on a cellphone. I mean, if the thing cost $100 I would snatch it up in an instant.
Anyway, I enjoyed using it a lot more than I thought I would. The screen is plenty sensitive, so typing in numbers and text I found to be very easy, which I thought would be my biggest gripe. The flying through menus and albums is kinda fun, I just did that for a while. Nifty thing, and so very thin. Just wish it were cheaper.
