So anyway I have mentioned Formula 1 on here before, about 2 years ago, but no one had a clue what I was talking about. Probably because I am one of the few English dudes here.

Well now, this year they are racing on new tracks in new countries. This weekend, the first U.S Formula 1 World Grand Prix will be under way.

It's kinda like Indi Cars but better. Most Indi racers wish they were good enough for Formula 1. Racers such as Nigel Mansell and Gerhard Berger have made the transition between the two several times.

What I was wondering was, any of you guys heard about this yet? Interested? Excited?

I am looking forward to it either way. I am gonna watch it live, even with the 5/6 hour time difference. I dont care if it's midnight here when the race starts there.

My money's on Hamilton for pole position, current world champion Alonso for second and as for third... well I aint sure. I will probably change my mind when seeing what moods/attitudes the drivers are in before the race.

I don't get on my tele. Do you know of any online stream or d/l of the race?

I've been a bit of a F1 fan since Jacques Villeneuve first raced in it back in 96. Kind of captured my imagination a bit and I guess i thought it was really cool that a young canadian had made it in a predominately european league. Anyway yeah, F1 owns indi and stock car racing.

edit: oh and Audi won the 24 hour le mans in case you haven't heard. The peugeot team came in second, 10 laps behind the diesel audi. Villeneuve co drove the 2nd peugeot car but it had to pull out on the 22nd lap cuz they lost oil pressure. I was going for peugeot but i'm German so an audi win isn't a let down. The Audi N.2 car lost it's rear tire at 260 km/hour.

It's a small dream of mine to catch a plane to France for the race. Endurance racing is sooo badass
