No posts in 5 days? That must be a new record. That's what we do at GameTavern, aim for new firsts. If you think about it, going from 100 posts a day average to no posts a day is something of an accomplishment. What makes it all the more impressive is the fact that this seemed to happen all on it's own, with no annoucement from me or anyone else instructing people not to post.
How about if I tell you what's new in my life? Your friendly, lovable administrator has been busy trying to figure out how to break a lease he just signed on Friday. I used to live up north with a couple roommates, but in my infinite wisdom I decided to move closer to my work instead of having to sit in traffic for an hour every day. Makes sense, doesn't it? Only problem is this place is more expensive and I'm going to be driving to my old place all the time anyway to see my friends. Therefore I decided to place an ad on craigslist and now I'm just waiting for the fish to bite.
Oh also I was dating this girl who, after we got serious one night, told me she just got out of a 5-year relationship... with another girl. I guess I should feel proud that things went as well as they did, considering I was apparently at a considerable disadvantage. How can you compete with someone who knows more about a thing then you ever possibly could? In any case I guess she decided she likes women better since I have not heard from her lately. She was kind enough to give me my "Lost" season 1 dvd's back though.
Seriously it's time for a forum rebirth. One-subforum future!
As for me, I'm still working at Propaganda Games which is the best job in the whole universe. My contract got extended to the end of summer which is totally badical. Turok all summer! And I'm going camping with my girlfriend a lot. This has been some of the best times of my life so far.
I noticed the lull in posts too. I reckon its this summer weather. People want to go out more. Here in England we just had the Download festival. And on the Island where I live we just had The Isle Of Wight Festival where the rolling stones and the like played.
Not much on the woman front for me at the mo. Split up with my girlfriend over a month ago. All I got is my brothers, girlfriends, sisters, friend pining over me. She's so fine, great hair, nice ass, big boobs, sexy eyes. Trouble is she's jail bait. 15 years old man. I aint canadian so it aint legal, lol.
Still, keep her sweet for a few months aye ;)

I recently quit my thankless job at the theatre. I'm on summer vacation. And I'm close to broke. I had an Alpine audio deck installed in my Accord with direct iPod connectivity. Right now, I'm having fun with Apple's new beta version of Safari for Windows (http://www.apple.com/safari/download/). Today my Six Feet Under Complete Series package arrived from Amazon (damn them and their Gold Box Deal of the Day)! Last night I just finished Season 3 of the Sopranos. I still play WarCraft 3 like an addict. And I've just recently started enjoying Skypecasts (VOIP program lets you talk with people all over the world). I'm waiting for my friends to come home from college so I can hang out with them.

Took my last final a couple of hours ago which ended my freshman year at UCLA.
Broke up with the girl I started dating after the Spinto Band show a couple of months ago.
Havent really been actively pursuing anyone recently, must have been the stress of finals or something.
I have about two weeks to spend at home before I'll be moving up north to Buck's Lake, California where I will be working at a lodge with my friends for the summer. Should be a really memorable few months :D
Oh, and yesterday after having felt a bit of numbness in my lower body for the past couple days I mentioned it to my roomate and he said that that was how the girl he's seeing felt before she went to the doctor and found out she had a tumor in her head. She's alright now, but that got me thinkin, so when I took a shower I checked the goods and, what do you know, I've got a lump on my left nut! After I move out of the dorms today, I'll try to schedule an apointment with my doctor and get everything checked out. Hopefully things turn out alright.

When I'm not at work, I tend to sit and stare off into space.
I got into vinyl records and the ability to find new music for real cheap (and good music for 3-10x more than the price of a CD)...
Recently I've discovered the Talking Heads...
Sometimes I'll get bored and take out my camera...

I still working, same place since high school. I just finished up getting my associates degree in Business Administration at a local community college. In the fall, im heading to Illinois State university to pursue a bachelors degree. Ive allready got an apartment lined up and everything, im really looking forward to it.
As for this summer, its basically the same old dull routine in my boring town. Im going to Six Flags Chicago with a few friends tomorrow, that should be fun. In a little over a week, im going to Pittsburgh to visit relatives with my family like I do every year, only staying there a few days, then we are going to New York City for a couple of nights, and Im really looking forward to that since I have never actually been in Manhatten.
Any suggestions on things to do/ advice for anyone who has been to NYC?

erh so I check this forum every day, usually a couple times a day, i don't have anything really good to post about so i just check for other posts i can reply to...
All in all, lifes pretty good, I go for my N-permit test on Sat. Im pretty psyched about that. I am working two part time jobs and just finishing up school, like 4 more days. I work at a coffee shop, and a dinnerworks location, its pretty cool. This summer I am going sailing in the San Juan and Gulf Islands a lot, I have to go to oasis with my family for a kind of extended family retreat, it's pretty cool, if i get my license it'll be so much better because then i can drive, and I love driving in the mountain passes... I hope to attend pax, maybe anyone else whos going would like to meet up with myself, and I believe Dyne is going, and his girlfriend...but this summer is completely depending on whether i get my license or not, because if I don't it will be a whole lot of sitting around, if i do ill go to the lakes around and such. Anyway thats pretty much it...nothing really interesting in the love like, a few casual dates with a girl recently :p
btw i just finished my english exam....im in the exam room now...

I got a job as a Medical Assistant (Clinical Assistant) at Mayo Clinic in Rochester. I started it a few months ago and I'm really liking it so far. Pays good, and the benefits are sweet.
Aside from that, I'm building a new PC. I spent about 900 bucks all told, 400 of which was the video card (BFG 8800 GTS 640MB OC2). I saw Starcraft 2 and thought to myself 'damn, gotta get a new computer'. And so I have. I overclocked an E4300 from 1.8ghz to 3.0ghz and found some real bargains on high quality components so that was good. I get the last few pieces tomorrow and then I'm up and running.
Anyway, that's me.

Yea, I know its great america. I just figured I would say Chicago so more people would know where im talking about. Im from Central Illinois, and when someone says theyre going to Six Flags, its always implied that its either "Chicago" or St. Louis, since we live about the same distance between them. Im actually a rollercoaster nut, I drive 400 miles to Cedar Point every summer :D

I haven't been around much, though I do check gametavern probably once a day..just quickly skimming the new posts. I've been busy with my girlfriend and most recently my internship with PennDOT. I'm in the bridge unit inspecting bridges. This job can have quite a bit of paper work believe it or not.

i'm a pretty big rollercoaster fan myself, i was going to try to find my way down to cedar point this summer but what with work and wanting to save my money i don't know if it's going to happen. what i need is cheap gas!
six flags great america is a decent park, the Raging Bull is such a nice and smooth ride, and that giant loop on the Superman makes the ride worth riding. That and the American Eagle is one of the best wooden coasters ever...so good times. But none of that really can hold a torch to the stuff in Cedar Point, or so I've heard.

I live there. Absolutely nothing to do.
Well, there are the classic tourist spots: Empire State Building (was there once...got a King Kong keychain), Statue of Liberty, South Street Seaport is nice. A lot of people seem to hang out around Times Square. Personally it feels like Disneyland to me on weekend nights with tourists strolling about in a leisurely manner. There's FAO Schwartz of BIG fame. Rockerfeller Plaza is near there. Central Park...haven't been there enough to recommend a section...though always wanted to check out Strawberry Fields. The Metropolitan Museum of Art...there's also the MoMA but that's mighty expensive...as well at the Whitney and Guggenheim (have yet to visit those two) Love the Museum of Natural History. Chinatown. Used to go there at least once a week. Nice to just stroll around. When walking around the numbered streets it's almost impossible to get lost. Downtown refer to a map. Restaurants a plenty.

Summer has been okay for me so far. I flew out to Portland with my girlfriend and stayed with her 'rents for a couple of days and then we started driving cross country all the way back to Pennsylvania. It was all going well until about halfway through about 50 miles outside of Chicago when I hit a deer going 65 MPH in the middle of the ****ing right lane on I-88. Busted up the headlight and passenger door pretty bad, but we still drove it home. It's still at the collision place right now.
Otherwise, I've just been practicing with the Spinto Band and whatnot. Some time in July/August we are going to go into the studio and hopefully record and finish the second album by the end of the summer. We're either going to record in Los Angeles or possibly in the UK which will be sort of strange, but it might be fun to live somewhere different for a month.
Sweet! We can't wait to hear the new stuff, Sam. :D

I live in Peoria. Where exactly do you live Gremlin? Anyways, everything good you have heard about Cedar Point is absolutley true, and then some. I enjoy going to Six Flags, but if you have never been to Cedar Point you have never truly seen how an amusement park can and should be run. Everything is just bigger and better there, from the rides to the employees. Oh, and no offense, but if your calling the American Eagle one of the best wooden rollercoasters ever, you have obviously never been on a good wooden rollercoaster. Sadly, that is the one department Cedar Point dosent come out on top of either: They really dont have any great wooden rollercoasters, but they more than make up for it because their steel stuff is truly top notch. If you do decide to try to go to Cedar Point this summer, I would avoid Saturdays at all costs, and its to big you will need at least a day there. What I have done in the past and would recommend, depending on how far away you live, is waking up early and driving there and getting there by late afternoon. They offer a twilight pass after 5 PM that is only 25 bucks from 5 to close, usually 10PM. Then, just get a full pass the next day, so this way you get a full day and a half, and 2 nights, and the park really comes alive at night. If you want to fork over the money, staying on site is awsome, and they let you into the park an hour early to ride the big rides before the general public are allowed in (extremely short lines). The Hotel Breakers is one of the on-site hotels that isnt so expensive, although its not technically "on site", as in you still have to drive in to the park from it, its not close enough to walk like the others. The only thing is I believe their on-site hotels are fairly strict on requiring the person booking the room to be 21. Anything else you want to know about Cedar Point, just ask, I love the place and can probably answer any question you might have.
Oh and Teuth, thanks for the information, im sure we will be doing all of those things and then some. I know I want to tour Rockfeller Center and see the WTC site also.

Yo yo internet buddies!
Guess what I've been up to in my absence? nothing that interesting except working my ass off hanging drywall. I crashed my fiero a while back so i bought a 1988 325ix which I love and cherish. Looking to buy an older model subaru that's in good shape and perform the ej22 swap which will take some time and effort but will hopefully have me running low 12's high 11's in the 1/4.
uhh, i tried breaking up with my girlfriend back in late april but it's ****ed trying to be just friends. It was one of those, we're not compatible relationships but I still want to try and be friends. I think it's an impossibility. If only she didn't love playing video games so much it'd make it easier to really break it off and start fresh. So, the news is I'm not looking for a relationship anymore until I get my **** together. I'm all applied up for college in september which will be a nice change from steady work. Anyway, my plan is to have a badass summer in the okanagan, taking advantage of bc if you know what i mean.
