I'm writing my thesis (on carbon sequestration [planting trees] as compensation for air travel) and I had a hard time finding scientific articles to back up my statements. I didn't want to use Wikipedia because I was afraid it wouldn't be scientific enough, but Google Scholar and other scientific databases weren't helping me out.

Then I realised that Wikipedia has references to their sources these days. So now I'm basicly finding everything I need. :D

Yeah, I love Wikipedia just because of their references. It's quite the useful tool. :P

Haha, my professors talk about how much they hate wikipedia and say to never quote it.

But it has saved my ass on at least three or four essays.

Well, I'm not quoting anything directly from Wikipedia, that could indeed be a dangerous business.

My thesis supervisor luckily likes Wikipedia by the way.
