I've never dove deep into university slang, because I already have my career, so I don't even know what a major or minor are. Care to explain the significance of each, or are they just terms in which classes you're "best" at?

A major is basically a curriculum which you choose to engage in which will upon completion reward you with a degree in that field.

or in better words...

"A major is a field of study designated by a prescribed set of courses in an academic discipline. When combined with specific general education and cognate courses, the successful completion of the requirements within the major leads to a degree in that area of study. All degree-seeking students must declare a major."

Anywho, I'm doubling in Political Science and History on account of there being no Pre-law Major.

We don't really use that system, but I can tell you that I'm finishing my bachelor of science in Forest and Nature Conservation (with a minor in communication) and I'm doing my master of science Leisure Tourism and Environment.

As of now, despite dropping out, my major is literature with a minor in psychology. I'll finish sometime.

I have 2 more years to go in my undergraduate due to switching majors several of times. Then I want to continue my education over seas. So I still several years of school and research ahead of me! :)

Hey Joe...I have another year left in my College program, and then I hope to check out a University somewhere away from home...anything from BC to Australia, we'll see if I have the time/money.

No real minor, though the course load basically amounts to a minor in math.
