View Full Version : Do you wear a watch?

I don't and it seems like there's never anyone around with a watch when you need one.:(

I do. It stays in the pocket most of time though. I have a clock on my nightstand that receives signals from the U.S. Atomic Clock also, thus, giving me perfect time, all the time.

Sure do. All men wear watches :D Hehehe...

Anyway, no tan line though. If I get hot and the band gets sweaty and sticks, I usually take it off. But now it's been winter, so no tan at all.

Maybe all men in their 40s, but I'd say about 70% of guys at my school don't wear them.

Nope. I have a clock on my cell phone -- I use that.

Nah, watches aren't for me, I get annoyed with them or something. My school has clocks all around, and I guess they may come in handy other times, but I usually am able to find a clock somewhere.

yea.. g-shock... its been workin for like.. 4 and a half years now..

Xantar

Yep, I have one. It has a stopwatch with storage for up to 8 laps, countdown timer, alarm and can keep track of two separate times (basically used for two different time zones).

It also has a glow function to see it at night. It comes in handy because I walk around outside in Swarthmore a lot and there are no clocks outside.

I've got a major tan line because I tan easily (such is the fate of Vietnamese people). But at least I don't sunburn. :D

Well I did and I had the tan line to prove it, but the batteries ran out so I haven't worn one in quite a while now, must get some new batteries, or just a new watch.

Yep I do almost all the time, it seems so wierd when I take it off though, the batteries have lasted long enough though, 7 years and counting :)

I do need one though, mostly to see how long I've got to get to college in the mornings, and see what speed I've got to go on my bike to get there (I'm usually late and have to speed it for the last few miles:) )

Hells no. Who needs a watch? It is just another thing that parents can use against you when you come home late from being out somewhere.

I have a watch.

My uncle gave it to me in Sicily when we left :(

It's a Sector, which is only available in Italy I think. It's broken a few times coz i keep wearing it to the gym and forgetting to take it off. The sweat must really get in :D

Never used my old one anyway

I don't wear one at the moment... I used to have a real cool one, with analog AND digital time, it was a light-green one from Sharp... but I ruined it when I swam with it... while it said that it was 30m water resist!! :(

Since then I've had two others... but they're both history... And now I'm looking for a new one... :(

In my opinion, the watches that say they are water resistant are full of s**t.

Edit: The GameTavern clock is off by an hour.. it's only 9:45 here..

There are clocks everywhere I go (sometimes I get a little affraid), and I have a cell phone with a clock.

I have a Casio Twincept (with analog and digital - like Angrist's), whivh I never take off. I also have one on my phone, but I'm too lazy to get it out of my pocket. So I use the one on my wrist.

I don't have a tan line though. It's more like "tan dots" (I have two white circles).

And you can change the GT clock in your user control panel.

I also have the time on my cell phone, but when it's locked, it doesn't show the time... so I have to press 159 to see it, and then hold # again to lock it...

Yeah, I know I can change it.. but it's set to -5 hours (Eastern Standard Time), and it's still wrong.

Edit: I changed it to -6 hours (Central Time) but I shouldn't have to...

They are water resistant. Meaning they can get wet in rain, and washing your hands and crap. Don't swim with it or anything.

Got a clock on my cell-phone too, and PDA, but it's still easier just to wear a watch and check the time.

I've had 2 water resistant watches is in my time, and both of them worked fine under water, one was a timex and the other is a firefly.

Well, I wear watches. I have about 2 of them now. I've had tons of watches in my life, never keep them for long, get boring. I also have the time on my cell phone and my organizer.

Stranger than your mother-in-law, the all new Radio Active watch just hit the stores in Japan, featuring an all new unique way to display the time. Looks hard at first but trust me after about one day, you can tell the time almost as fast as a regular watch. Guaranteed that everyone who sees it will ask you about it.

The time is displayed by simply adding the lights. 20 plus 10 plus 2= 32 minutes. The Red Warning light is for the 6 hour mark and the Danger gauge for the other 6 hours. See below for details.

The watch measures 3 cm across by 4 cm long by 1.1 cm thick. The strap and case are solid stainless so a bit heavy. A very well made watch.

An odd topic to bring back...

I believe at the time I voted that I wore a watch, however the bands on that watch got so funky, and the latches broke off, that I ripped them off completely and now just I shove the little watch-stub in my pocket...

Because I know you were all dying to know...

^ I used to do that. But poor little stumby got himself lost one cold winter's day. :(

Dan, where can I order or learn more about that awesome watch?

I figured this topic was old, I was an apprentice to Jin and he was the only one to defy GT's law of "they always return".

Master Neo says he's in spectrum form now and I'll soon learn how to communicate with him.

I used to, but the glass broke and I've never got around to fixing it. Oh well, there are clocks all over the school.
