Unless you've been living under a rock since yesterday, this was announced.
I can't wait. Wifi support included.
HOLY MOTHER OF GOD...
:faint:
Is that a good thud or a bad thud?

"I'm sorry Mr. PSP, in light of this new development I'm afraid there's just no way we can keep you on. "
Bye bye PSP, thanks for playing!

 though cool, I would've much rather seen an evolution of what they started with Dragon Quest VII on the PS3 or Wii.

What did they start, exactly, with Dragon Quest VII? I don't remember any crazy gameplay differences (although I didn't get incredibly far...), and it certainly wasn't the graphics...
Did you mean VIII?

Does everyone realize what an utter megaton annoucement this is? Dragon Quest is THE premier RPG series in Japan. The PSP is in serious trouble there (As if it wasn't unpopular enough to begin with). This will cause a noticable surge in DS sales in Japan. Gamers who wouldn't normally bother with handhelds will do so just to play this game. This is not another DQ spin off, it's the real deal. DQ started on Nintendo and then migrated to Sony - now it's come home. :D

If they were going for big fat orc/child-molester monster who likes to lick his big wooden mace while updating his blog, they nailed it.

Pokemon is coming to North America in the Spring of 2007; that's all we know.
