Anyone know how much Gamestop is giving for trade-in's on GC's and Xbox's and does that include controllers?

Did some searching. If you did it before Nov 19th you would have gotten an extra 20%. Seems like $35-$50 for GameCube. $50 for a working Xbox. Dunno about controllers. All based on various forum posts. Was looking to sell my Cube too. After glancing at ebay, $50 is a godsend. I know GameStop game trade-ins are horrible (bought Metroid Fusion for $34 day released...brought to GS a week later to sell...offered $15...ended up selling on half.com for twenty something a few years later) but guess the console prices are decent sadly.

i went in the other week with my gamecube to EB's, they said 25.

i wasnt sure about that, but their black Friday ad said for this weekend, they and gamestop will give an extra $20 on gamecube and xbox trade ins.

so i got $45 for my trade in, and $14 for my gameboy player attachment. which wasn't too bad. paid for the new zelda with a bit extra.

plus i gave them that 3rd party controller that came with my gamecube bundle at the GC launch, which i never used cuz i hated the feel of it. so i kept my real gamecube controllers for the wii. and kept all my GC games.

worked out pretty good. anythings better then nothing because with the wii the gc is absolutely pointless.

That's not too bad I guess. To me they're worth practically nothing anyway if I know I'm going next gen.

well i'd assume keep em, i think the future enjoyment of playing old games and reliving memories is worth more then a few bucks right now.

however with systems that can 'fully' play the older systems games. then i'd give em up for anything really, because they just become paperweights at that point.

My main concern has to do with space issues. I have entirely too many possessions and I want to get rid of things when I can. I'm tired of having so many things to look after and worry about. There are benefits to feeling like a more mobile person. I've kept every console I've owned along with several games so that's a few boxes right there.
