Through all the Wii news.

Good and bad (stupid controller price)

The most interesting thing to come out of it, in my opinion, anyhow. Is the Mii feature.

As you can see above, Miis are the little avatar creations you can use in WiiSports, WiiPlay and Wario Ware.. as well as other games.

As the screen also shows, the miis "live" in your Wii. And you can make tons of them and store them on your controller and bring em over to a friend's house.

I think it is a real cool feature as it gives you an avatar to recognize as well as play with across a broad array of games.

It looks easy to use and has a lot of features.

I'm going to give a short reply and say, Yes, I really like this idea and how they implemented it. I saw a video of someone making a Mii step-by-step from scratch -- he was making a Mii of the big man, Samuel L. Jackson. For all avatar-purposes, it looked just like Samuel L., and he did it in a couple minutes. And the ones of Mii-amoto and Iwata that were already created were also easily recognizable.

The point is I think it will be easy to make a likeness of anyone out there. Plus being able to carry these avatars to several different games and to friends' Wiis... yes, I like this.

Ok, not that short of a reply.

This has upped SPM for the reason why I most want a Wii. Knowing me I'll be spending hours upon hours creating little people before I even decide to try out my first Wii game.

This is pretty much brilliant, and I wonder why no one else has done this.

Meanwhile Rare is taking Miyamoto's old "garden" idea and running with it, with the crappy Viva Pinata. Good god, I can't believe they're franchising it so much even before it's out.

Haha, I saw the cartoon for it on TV.

Anyways, the Mii function is pretty sweet.
