It looks, needless to say, incredible...but I'm more interested in the first person mode with tilt control. They haven't said how they'll use tilt yet, just that they are working it into the game. Imagine moving/tilting the controller to move (and block too, while holding a shoulder button for example) and the left analog stick controls the boxer's left arm, right analog stick controls right arm. That opens up a bunch of different possibilities, I definately want to try this game out sometime.

That looks orgasmicalriffic.

And I assume the tilting will be for dodging/leaning to a side, or something like that.

Can somebody say "Uncanny Valley"?

Boxing gloves are a little shiny for a boxing match :p

Have you ever seen a boxing glove after you hit someones sweat and oil uncrusted face and/or body?

The oil and sweat wipes off onto the glove, thusly, making it shiny.

this is true...i sparred a few times a number of years ago with a family friend and once he 'accidentally' punched me with some force and i looked at his glove and chuckled a bit because the punch left a bigger mark on his glove than on the side of my head

So despite those being "screenshots", I wonder how accurate they are on a scale from 1 to Madden on the 360 screens.

Shouldnt it be "on a scale from Madden to 10 on the 360 target renders."?

My guess is that they're pretty accurate. However, I still think it looks awfully frightening :(

Maybe it'll look better in motion.

On the other hand, gameplay mechanics sound fun, albeit frustrating.

Games have caught up to mothers of gamers. "Oooh... oooh, don't lose. Go right" The Soccer mom tilts the controller to its right side as if to force the weight of the world itself with her will; The poorly polygon-ed neanderthal, with his deviously clipped hair, sways at her command and dodges the flurry of punches thrown by his vile enemy: twelve-year-old boy. "Yaay, look at that, it worked! I like this new Nintendo Box of yours"

I'm not putting too much logic into it; I'm letting my brain veg out to save resources before school tomorrow. ;) But you get my idea.

But yeah, I'm sort of doubting the screens like every other EA screenshot. Mostly Madden 360.

difference is, they never claimed those first pics of madden were screenshots...they were target renders. there is a difference...the pics in this thread were taken from the game engine...
