I don't think it's saying whoever isn't buying one isn't a gamer just that whoever was going to get a PS3 and then saw the price moved on to a different system aren't gamers.

Ah, but perhaps the irony is that the PS3 is not necesarily being sold as a Gaming Console. So, perhaps they should not have their title of "gamer" revoked... rather they should have any mark of "multimedia adict" removed.
