Has anyone made their own, or have an idea for one? I've been working on one using RPG Maker for PS. If anyone wants to help me beta test it I'll fork over the doubloons. Of course you have to have a copy of RPG Maker first.

I can't find a copy of RPG Maker for the PSX. I tried RPG Maker 2 for the SNES Emulator...but it is crappy when you translate it into English.

It can be hard to find. Ordering it online is probably the best way. I found mine at a used game store (their last copy).

My friend's willing to sell it to me for $20, but I heard it wasn't that good from different reviews. That it's extremely difficult and time consumming to make an RPG on it. How was it for you?

It is time consuming, but it's not difficult to get the hang of. There's lots of help for it on the net, and it comes with a sample game that you can explore to see how certain things are done. I think it's easier to use than the RPG Maker 2000 translation for the PC. The best thing to do is to plan ahead of time what your characters, weapons, maps, etc will look like. Drawing things out on paper first makes it a lot less frustrating.

You need to start checking your PMs, Jin.

I think I'll give it a try. I don't mind if it's time consumming as long as it's easy to use. How much space does it take up on your memory card? I'd imagine quite a bit.

Btw, I got your PM, Neo.:)

It varies - Possibly 12-14 blocks as an average, but I've seen them span 3 cards. I'm currently at 5 blocks. I have 80% of the maps completed and about 65% of the text. It just depends on how large you want to make the game.

I have RPG Maker 2000 for PC. It's a really easy to use program. I recommend it to anyone interested in making an RPG.

Too bad I'm not the patient type. I started one awhile ago, but put it off for about 4 months.

Only problem is that's an illegal translation.
