Since the series is coming to GC and GBA I thought you guys might want to know a bit more about the anime its based on. I've watched most of the episodes so ask away if you want.

Well I think the most logical question is, what is the series about (story, background, etc.)?

There's our world, the inner world, and other worlds. Ai and Yuu's parents who are scientists travel into the inner world for discovery. After not returning, the children decide to go look for them. The thing is that the inner is extremely weird. The series has an Alice in Wonderland type feel to it. We only know Ai and Yuu's background right off the bat.

The most common theme is that the Count wants the Demon Gun (Kaze) detroyed. The Count is a god in the form of a little spoiled child with purple hair who's always munching on some weird food in his fortress. He has four guardians which do his dirty work: Helba (think Posion Ivy), Hungus (the catapilliar from Alice In Wonderland crossed with Pico from F-Zero), Oscar (a puppet master who in the last episode seems to be something other than he seems), and Demon Swordsman (uses the same technique that Kaze uses to summon monsters but uses a sword instead of a gun).

There is a being known as Omega who was destroyed yet his pieces still remain.

Sweet, sounds like a game with a crazy enough story to actually buy. :D

Any special devices, weapons, transportations you can tell us about?

Transportation:
The Subway. It's a subway with eyes sticking out every car appearing to be part organic. Ai, Yuu, and Lisa travel on it whenever its about to leave since the chances of catching it again are slim to none. Made by Cid though he appeared to have never seen it.

Catherine. A sea-faring vechicle which seems to be a mix between a speedboat and a jetski. Full of secret devices such an electrified web and wings. Again made by Cid. It's his pride and joy.

Weapons:
Demon Gun. The Demon Gun incases Kaze's right arm from the elbow down. When not in use it retains a capsule form stuck on his arm. When danger approaches, a little orb in the hole on the side of it glows and Kaze whispers "It moved." The orb then goes into the capsule and comes out a drill which then becomes a windmill type thingy starting the morphing process. The capsule then morphs into a 3-barrel gun. Kaze chooses 3 of the many capsules of soil he carries around with him to be put into the gun. Each combo produces a different monster to summon. After each is loaded, they fired out all swirly and swooshy blending together and becoming the monster who then attacks.

Demon Sword. The Sword detaches from Demon Swordsman's back and floats above him. He appears to control it with his mind and the sword does everything without him touching it. He handles the sword when he summons. His technique in summoning monsters resembles that of Kaze. But instead of using soil, he uses mist in small bottles. And only one bottle is needed to summon. He simply throws the bottle up, slices it in half with his sword, and the monster is released.

Two-barrel gun (no actual name givne). Unlike the Demon Gun this one isn't attached to his arm. He handles it with his left hand and shoots like a normal gun would.

Ultimate Hammer. Cid wears this metal pack his back and front. The front opens up into a lab top. The back uses the orb sequence Kaze's Demon Gun uses. Orbs enter the pack and come out as drills. The pack opens up into two large nuchucku looking things which form two huge hammers. They are electro-magnetic; one being positive and the other negative. Cid's front pack opens up to reveal two joysticks which he uses to control the hammers' movements.

Skill Of Genesis. Lisa's natural ability which utilizes nature's power. Able throw enemies, block enemies, blow up things, and basically cause some serious damage.

Ru's Howler Attack (no acutal name given). In werewolf form Ru absorbs energy giving the appearence of the moon behind her. She lets out a scream shooting a huge blast from her mouth.

Devices:
Chobi's Alerter (no actual name given). Chobi wears this circular device around his neck. It lights up when the subway is ready to leave causing Chobi to act crazier than he normally does. Cid made this device for Izabel the Watcer of the Inner World a long time ago but it was heavily modified since then and unknown of who has modified it.

Genevieve. An all in one healer. Emits a super high frequency on the one being healed. Made by Cid.

Chocob Feather. Stuck in Yuu's hair, it allows him to understand what Chobi says.

Pochepoke. Though a living creature he is used more like a device with the ability to spit out any desired object from his mouth. Ai keeps tape over his mouth when not in use since he tends to eat almost anything. He's wore like a purse over Ai's shoulder.

Is the series like traditional FF(stuff like death, love, the meaning of life)?

Drunk Hobbit

There are 25 in all. The series ended in Japan on March 26.

Note: I seemed to make it sound better than it actual is. This is not a very good anime. From their setup it seems it would make a better game than a show.
