This is complete bull****.

On one hand I want to finish my Gamecube collection off nicely, but on the other hand I also want a great version of the game.

I'm torn.

I'll probably just get the Gamecube version and get my girlfriend to buy the Wii version. Problem solved. I know I'll end up playing through multiple times anyways.

certainly not buying a new console for the same game. and i've barely ever touched my gamecube. so without a doubt im getting the gc version.

I'll probably just end up getting the Wii version. I was pretty ticked off at first too; but I figure its better than just moving to the Wii and screwing over everyone who wanted it just for the GCN. This way those who buy the Wii early can get the ehanced version while everyone else can get the Cube version they were expecting.

Wii, of course... Getting it for GC would be pointless.

Its tough to say, probably the Wii version, but who knows really. Depends if I feel the need to get the game before christams, because thats when I will be getting a Wii, most likley.

I'm going to get it for the GC.

I won't be able to get the Wii right away but I can't wait to play Zelda. So, I'll get the GC version first. Then in a little while, when I get Wii, I'll re-buy Zelda

I'm buying a Gamecube solely for this game and this game only.

If Wii's price is reasonable, get a Wii, Zelda, and whatever else looks hot enough. The disaster game is tickling my fancy too (love disaster flicks)

Wii version. Need you even ask?

Does anyone need any more proof that Nintendo hates the Gamecube as much as the general public?

I'll probably get the Gamecube version and play the Wii version if my brother gets it for xmas or something.

I don't know the Cube is getting a better send off then the n64 got.

First, its games aren't completely moving to a new system. Second, they announced several new games today and two of which happen to star popular characters. And frankly I am very stoked for Super Paper Mario. :D

People are angry about this? Nintendo gives you the option to choose the GCN or Wii version, and people get mad?

Zelda with Wii functionality!!! Isn't this what everyone was hoping for? What else do you want?

Thank the gods some of you are still making sense.

EDIT: Oh, wait, everyone is sane. It's just Dyne who seems to have some sort of "tough" decision ahead of him. :)

I want the Wii version. I think Nintendo are making all the right moves so far with the Wii.

It depends on whether I can play the Wii version with the other controller. Watching the guy play it with the wiimote, I'm not that excited about it. =/ It looked gimmicky. I'd rather have regular Zelda controls. :)

Also depends on whether me or my brother will get a Wii of course. I was expecting to play Zelda on the Cube and I feel like sticking with that.

You guys are getting upset like you won't be able to play the Cube version on Wii if you can't wait or don't want to buy a Wii right away. Just won't have the features for the wiimote. I think it's nice to even have an option.

what people should be getting upset about is two SKUs of xbox 360, and two SKUs of PS3. Can you confuse the uninformed casual gamer more?

(not that a casual gamer would ever spend 599.99 on a console. What was the last console to launch at that price. 3DO? no no... NEO GEO...

The only reason I was frustrated was because I was under the impression that it would be officially released on the GCN, but if you put the disc into the Wii, you'd get some added functionality. Kind of like what they did with the Oracle games and the GBA, only better and more prevalent.

That way I probably would have just bought the game and played it on the GCN and waited a little bit to buy the Wii and play it again. Now I'll just have to buy the Wii and get that version. I was rather wanting to compare, too...

Its too expensive to get both, though. Maybe a used copy later on.

I still want to know if I can play the Wii version with the GCN controller. Forget the wiimote, I want classic controls!

Ginkasa

Probably not. That's why there's a separate Cube version.

You know, I just realized, where's the official confirmation of a 100% orchestrated soundtrack? Will it be on the gamecube version?

If it's only on the Wii version (with the bigger disc and all) then I'll buy that one in a heartbeat.

Ginkasa
05-11-2006, 05:26 PM
I think they confirmed that a while ago, and it was when it was still just on the Cube, so I would assume the orchestra would be in both versions. I doubt the game is so large they couldn't fit the recording of an orchestra on Cube disc...

I got around to finally playing Zelda at E3. I used the Wii controller and, well, I didn't really like it...

It's not a problem with the controller, I like the controller. It just kind of feels like it's not really meant for this game. I dunno, it wasn't too bad, but I think I'd feel more comfortable playing it with the GCN controller. What they need to do before the game is released is fine tune the aiming with the remote. It just didn't feel "good", so to speak.

I thought they said with the Wii version, you can use the GCN controller ports also

That's what I hope. I could buy it for the Cube, beat the game, wait till I or my brother gets a Wii and then I'll sell the Cube version and buy the Wii one.
