Okay. After some deep thought I've come to an important conclusion.

I don't really want to buy any next-gen system.

PS3 - $600? You've got to be kidding me.

Wii - I honestly find nothing appealing about actually having to wave a controller around to do stuff. I think that's bloody stupid.

Xbox 360 - F**k Xbox. Seriously.

And there you have it. I may just not bother this generation.

PS3 - Completely with you.

Wii - Well, I have this thing about sword fighting online...

Xbox 360 - The arcade seems awesome. They should make a third cheaper option to get the system purely for that. The actual 360 games don't appeal to me at all.

I was never considering an Xbox.

Depending on the price, I was interested in buying a PS3 just because PS2 was a pretty cool system which I missed out on. The official price figure has eliminated PS3 from my list though.

I'm not ashamed to say that there was no doubt in my mind that I would buy a Revolution (Wii). Super Smash is my guilty pleasure. My candle of love for the legends (Mario, Zelda, etc.) remains ever burning. And I had barrels of fun on the Gamecube with the quirky, cult classics like Animal Crossing, Viewtiful Joe, Donkey Konga, etc. I look forward to experiencing these three categories on the Wii.

PS3 - I'll take that $600 and do things to benefit my PC that I use more.

Wii - $249.99 is high in my opinion but if the launch games are worth it, I'll buy it. It just feels like a $199.99 console, not that price. Though I want to see MS piss off Ninty and drop the basic 360 price to $249.99 to force Nintendo to drop their price.

360 - When a price drop occurs ill consider it. Not enough games to tickle my fancy yet. and dear god companies, please stop with all the farking SHINY FAKE LOOKING GAMES!

I can only afford one system.......and I still don't know which that will be. But price will be an important influence on my decision, so will games.

if i bought any, i'd be waiting for a price drop. im done with spending top dollar for consoles that dont have any great games their first year anyway.

i love my pc gaming :)

maybe i'll pick up a ps3 or xbox in a year or 2. probably whichever is doing better, most likely sounds like it'll be ps3. nintendo will have to show me something very impressive and prove they can compete with nextgen graphics. im not paying for a gamecube with a pointer device.

PS3 - I'd wait until price drop

Wii - First of all, I'm not 5. So a controller that makes noise wont appeal to me. Secondly, something about frantically waving my arm also doesnt appeal to me. And it's what, one and a half Gamecubes? How much is a gamecube going for, 70 bucks? 299 for a Wii? No thanks.

Xbox 360 - *Holds self back*

i'll probably pick up a PS3 after a price drop...fall 07, maybe? i already have a buddy with an XBox 360, so i'll need to find one who buys a Wii too

The Wii looks okay, nothing I'd pay more than 150 for. Not until emulation gets going.

The 360 is crap. Where the hell are the games?

The PS3 has a insane price, I have a computer that needs upkeep too.

I love my PC gaming too....it's a beautiful thing.

Don't worry, you'll turn five soon enough, everyone grows up someday.

As for me --

PS3 -- too expensive, don't care

XBOX -- too expensive, don't care

Wii -- cheap, and fun, so I do care

If I had all the money and all the time in the world like I once did, I would buy them all. But I hardly play games anymore, so the cheapest and for me what looks to be the most fun without having to sit down for hours at a time to finish a game (ie. Wii) is the best choice.

Wii - First of all, I'm not 5. So a controller that makes noise wont appeal to me. Thought about voice communication through the controller? All we need now is Nintendo to tell us it also has a microphone. :)
