hey guys I have about 10 animations like this:

and I need to make the backgrounds transparent anybody no how?
I want it like this one:

That's more of a job for Adobe ImageReady, which comes with all newer photoshops. ImageReady makes it easier to work with animated gifs.

(I know how to make animated gifs and such, but Im having trouble setting the images to transparent background or something it says when I test that transparent background is not set.)
btw I found a very easy way to take the background but it still has to be set somewhere and I don't know where
i've done it before... i think what i did was open it up in image ready, then click the button that says edit in photoshop. which will have each layer as a different frame. take out the background in each layer leaving it transparent... clicking on edit in image ready, which would bring it back to image ready. then save the optimized file.
(not on my pc right now or i would try it out) but thats just off the top of my head remembering. only done it like once tho.

eer okay, Im going to aska favor to any GT member that can take all the backgrounds in the following animations out, in return you get:
1.A custom sig that says how much I love you in as advertisement in my signarture space for 1 or 2 months (Or something else what ever you want my sig space is all yours.
2.1500 Doubloons
3.Anything else that I can manage
4.Put your name in the game credits as Sprite Developer
I would do myself but Im up to my waist in coding (Im using these as sprites for my game) and I have to finish the coding. If none of the above apeal to you then do it out of good will! :p
-Thanks Mr.Coffee
Post the link to the sprites?

tried that method, doesn't work.
it preserves the background.

You probably didn't have the right settings on.

well, what settings should be used?

Well exporting to ImageReady should not be needed; I think there's an animate function in photoshop. But Save As Web, gif, and click transparent. Find which transparency setting looks best. I haven't worked with sprites much.
