I just finished watching this film, and I loved it. Easily one of the best films I've seen in years. Every shot meant something and they all interconnected perfectly.

Anyone else see this? What did you think?

That's funny, I just finished watching it not more than a minute ago and here we are.

I like to let a movie soak in before I give my opinion about it, though I did definitely like it.

Definitely an amazing movie. Saw it back in screenwriting class back in November. I really want to watch it again now that it's on DVD.

It certainly got snubbed by the Academy...

As I told Dylan, I want to see this movie so bad. But it never hit me until I saw the DVD preview a few weeks back.

Maybe I'll go rent it soon or something.

I rent so much from Netflix that I get "throttled" and I can;t get new releases for a few weeks.

I've heard about that Netflixx throttling, does it bother you?

Blockbuster is no better. All of the huge new releases on DVD that came out after the Oscars were out of stock for three weeks. I've been about five times and they have none of them everytime. I think it's screwing them because they have guaranteed in stock on a bunch of them, and they are definitely not in stock. I still haven't been able to get History of Violence from them. I gave up and borrowed my friend's downloaded copy.

But it is New Orleans. Considering half the city's street lights are still out and huge potholes even worse than those that plagued nola before Katrina abound, not to mention people still not having places to live etc. -- what Blockbuster has in stock is not a huge worry.

Not really. I watch A LOT of movies (about 6 a week, if not more) so I can see how Netflix would throttle me because they think I might be pirating. That is the reason why they do it.

With my tastes, I watch a lot of movies from the silent era to modern film, so there is always something I want to see thats available. I just queue the movie and when it becomes available I jump it to the top of my list.

On a side note, I am amazed with Netflix and how quickly they process your movies. One business day? Thats insane.

And Teuthida, whatever are you talking about? :sneaky:
