Vintage Computing and Gaming: First off, what do you do for a living?

Videogamecollector: Collect video games, for now.

Translation: Professional Pathetic Loser.

I didn't know people got paid to collect video games. He must:

A. Be independently wealthy.

B. Leech off parents/wife/girlfriend.

C. Be too f-cking stupid to answer the actual question, which was, "What do you do for a living?" Not, "How do you waste your life?"

If I were to have, say, hit the powerball jackpot... I'd probably have a room like that in my house...

If he's just a 'financially normal' guy, I'd say he has quite a problem...

As ridiculous as it looks, and as pathetic as it sounds you know that **** is quite an impressive stock pile. If I were to calculate each game's worth in there, plus vintage classics and rare games I'd say he has an impressive investment. You don't know what kind of people will pop up and what kind of things they'll buy.

I calculated each game at $10 with an estimated 5,000 games...not including classic/rare/collectors games that would be well over $100 each... and it's a nice hefty amount.

Not to mention those vintage game consoles he has there that collector's would pay amounts for.

Awesome collection + large investment = Yes
Pathetic + No life = Yes
Impressive = Quite possibly... to a minimum

Yeah right..... Thats unbelievable man...

Are you kidding me? I'd put a rollercoaster in the backyard of my mansion, have a huge wave pool, get my own basketball court, tennis court, bar, get a few hot tubs, and open my own golf course. And of course do all this in tropical paradise where the ladies are as hot as the weather.

As much as a gaming nerd that I am, if I had millions of dollars I would not spend it on boring video games. To each his own though, but rethink that decision!
