We've seen Medal of Honor: Airborne on PlayStation 3, and it looks brilliant. That's the short version of a day spent behind EA's ring of steel looking at experimental footage of their stunning PS3 engine in action. Just take a look at these screens if you want proof.

The next-gen version of Medal of Honor uses the full weight of PS3 to create not only the battlefield, but the skies above it too. And although the shots of the demo we've brought back look amazing, believe us when we say they don't convey the half of it.

If this is what EA can do with the PS3, then everybody else had better look out. We're talking hi-res detail and amazing character animation throughout. Check out the screens and try not to drool on your keyboard.

I saw this in PSM a couple weeks ago and I was quite intrigued... I've always been a fan of the MoH series (well, the PS2 ones at least), and the idea of being able to control where you begin the ground battle (and all that comes with it) via the parachuting process seems like a huge new deal...

Just hope the PS3 installment(s) live up to the PS2's...
