A8N-SLI ASUS MoBo
Athlon 64 3200+
1.5GB DDR400 Ram
ATI Radeon X700 256MB PCI-e

i think tha's all ther pertinent specs, the ram fits, and the CPU i think fits, but the video card could be a problem *crosses fingers* anyway, i'm gonna get it in about 5 days time, already pre-ordered it at EB...now gotta wait till the 23rd

1.5 gigs is a no no, tisk tisk :p

and your vid card wont be a problem. i think its more powerful then your cpu allows it to go. (i dont think the cpu is holding it back much, but it think it is being slowed slightly.)

for me its the oppsite, im running a AMD64 3700+ but my gfx card is a 6600GT AGP, so my processor can do a lot better for games but my gfx is holding it back. i'll pick myself up a PCIE card eventually tho.

fixed* sorry I was to tired to come on last night at 12 and change it :p BTW you should never mix ram card sizes like 1gig and 512mb it actually reduces the speed in certain important areas. unless* your using 3* 512 to geta gig and a half :) then its fine.

from what i hear, 3 512's will still kink it a bit, not as much as a 1gig and a 512, but still, ram likes to be even, as in pairs, of the same size same type. thats where it works its best. they say, 1 gig, or 2gigs, never 1.5

I found an excellent deal on Oblivion for PC and Xbox360 at Compusa. PC version is $39.99 (regular edition, I dont feel the need ot waste on the CE when I dont see anything great of it) and Xbox360 version is $44.99 (compared to $59.99 at EB's, Gamestop, etc..)

gaming is where you hear about it most. and while its not saying that the computer will run bad, its more that its performance in certain area's are noticably more efficient when ram is set up 'correctly'

im not sure how much the difference it makes outside of gaming.

note about the ram its nothing to be worried about, it will still perform damn good but if you start getting choppy and want to upgrade pull out your 512 adn get another gig.

So oblivion shipped yesterday I get to pick itup and play it today! !! and Yes i paid the rediculous amount from EB just over $70 canadian anyway I probably wont be on for the next 48hours so seeya !

OK updating:

Oblivion is totally freakin awesome, there is a few glitches Ive noticed, that when talking to a NPC they will tell you about one thing and thenwhen you finish and select a new topic their voices will change like they suddenly agd 50 years. The second glitche is a texture glitche with shading, I found that when you have self shadow EVERY npc has a dark spot on their face and lower neck even if there like 50 feet away. I would post a screen but i disable it and don't feel like reenabling. Other than that the graphics and enviroment are amazing as well as the fighting is so awesome, there is no way to describe how much I love this game, I just joined the thieves guild and got my mount the horses are not only do they have well done skeletons but complete muslce skeleton aswell so it looks like a real horse when it moves. PS I pwn with arrows.

Hmmmmm... this game looks like it will convince me to get a 360 for it. I can't swing a PC upgrade that will run this monster, but with my birthday I can get Oblivion and a 360.

I'm playing Morrowind right now just to get me in the mood. Plus it will take about a month for a backordered 360 to become available, non-bundled.
