In the distant future, the government wages war against a subculture of disease-modified humans, in whom speed, strength and intelligence are magnified. In the midst of this turmoil a woman finds herself the protector of a nine-year-old boy targeted for death.

Watched a bit of Final Destination 3 today at work. Can't say I saw any signs of Canada or Dylflon for that matter. Maybe that's just the roller coaster scene?

That's what I thought. But Aeon Flux is said to be a stupid movie (hm I'll have to watch it...).
Edit: wow, that's Milla Jovovich? She looks much younger than in RE:A

I agree it does remind you of Aeon Flux. I wonder how good this film is going to be.

Well, the rollercoaster scene is filmed at Playland which is in Vancouver.
Don't bother looking for me in the credits. I won't be in them.
I'm only a day-caller. :(

That's because the whole movie has been so glossified even her hand looks shiny.
Anyway, the film looks stupid, and I'm not even sure what the plot is supposed to be. And the action looks boring. But I might put it on my Netflix queue one day.

Well this is written and directed by Kurt Wimmer, the same writer and director who did Equilibrium, so I think this is basically Wimmer's "re-make" of Equilibirum. Different plot, different star, but essentially the same thing.
With that said, I'm looking forward to this movie. The story will most likely be heavy handed and obvious, but much like in Equilibrium the action sequences will save the film. I loved "gunkata" and the way that Wimmer filmed and choreographed his action scenes.

Can you give me any insight on Snakes on a Plane? This man needs to know...It's one of my most anticipated movies just because of the title.

On board a flight over the Pacific Ocean, an assassin, bent on killing a passenger who's a witness in protective custody, let loose a crate full of deadly snakes.
Pretty self-explanatory title. This is actually a movie though? *sigh*

The gunkatas were terrible. Basicly pumping 10 bullets in some soldiers' heads while they just stand there around him taking the hits.
I had hoped that they would actually dodge some bullets or something, but this was just some 'cool' stances with guns.

There's one more difference, though:
Milla Jovovich ain't no Christian Bale.
By the way, I thought the guy doing the morph ball at the beginning of the trailer was hilarious. I was expecting him to pull his helmet off and reveal long, flowing blonde hair.
