Felt that we needed a thread about PSP, I'm surprized that you guys didn't have one already :)
Anyway, I think that the screen is amazing and it looks great!
Why didn't Sony think of this sooner ;)

We've had many PSP and PSP game threads. And the system has been out for almost a year now. I'm surprised your thread for the system has arrived so late. Yes, it does look great and the screen is very nice. It needs some more great games though.

eh...welcome back?
thank you :)... I have been around, but I got a message today saying that someone replied to an OLD thread so I thought I would give the forms a try again...
on another note... yes I know the system has been out for awhile but I was just surprized that there are still some Nintendo threads open but no recent PSP... just though it to be funny
anyway, it wasn't too big of a deal... just thought I would make my presence again :)

im not into portable devices, but I do love my mp3 player :)
Wow, you're before my time. =o
I bought a PSP, but I regret it now. It was a waste of money just like people warned. Sure, it's a nice tech toy, but it's got no great games. Hot Shots Golf: Open Tee is decent and Ridge Racer is alright too. Lumines is addicting but it's not play-for-hours-on-end addicting. And UMD movies are like throwing money away. I bought Hitchhiker's Guide and watched it on the bus, and I wasn't impressed. I also bought Resident Evil Apocalypse (because of Sienna Guillory).

Sell it while they're still in demand. I was lucky enough to rid of mine via eBay when I threw Wipeout and GTA into the deal.
Any potential buyers: DO NOT BUY!

Resident Evil Apocolypse was pretty good.

It makes you wonder what would have happened if Nintendo and Sony didn't rush their handhelds.

Nintendo hasn't rushed. Their next Gameboy iteration is still in the laboratory awaiting it's time to amaze gamers everywhere. Meanwhile, the Nintendo DS entertains gamers with a new innovative form of play, all while offering ex-PSP owners a more fulfilling experience.

Hioooooo!
Imagine how Nintendo fans must feel. Jaded.
If a new Gameboy comes out within the next 2 years I plan to cry.
I won't argue that the PSP hasn't been spectacular, however.

Well I can honestly say that buzz around the PSP hasn't been so loud. I'm not much of a portable person so I never actually got into it. I bought the PSP just to see Sony's new portable gadget in action and it in fact wowed me for a good 2 months, wth what you could do with it. But my lifestyle didn't call for portable gaming so I gave it up.
But I know a lot of people around me, my co-workers and even my boss owns a PSP and he loves his. He travels a lot so he tells me how he watches his movies and such on it, and he loves Golf..... <.< I guess the PSP really did attract the older crowd for it's wireless internet browsing and such.. it's almost like a PDA... but without the organizer part.. LOL

It's not that bad. The GBA has been around since June 11, 2001. Sure, they've released two new models since then; the SP and Micro, but it's all the same machinery inside.
We're rightfully due for a new Gameboy.

Jebus...welcome back Andromida :p
But anywho..I didnt buy a PSP because I dont feel that its justified to spend $250 on a handheld, even with all its features. I dont want to have to buy new movies just for the PSP only because I feel thats just a waste.
Sometime I'll get one just to have one but not until the price drops alot
